The Coach House and The Stable

The apartment had a lovely feel, the facilities were good and the bed was comfortable.

The bathroom light was on a sensor which wasn’t ideal as it went off several times when were on the loo or in the shower, leaving us in darkness. In addition, it was very bright in the night, it would have been great for this to not be on a sensor or for there to be a low light option. A minor point was that hooks/rails for towels in the bathroom would have been useful.

We'd stayed at The Old Fleece apartment over the pub a few days before, which hadn't been at all comfortable, so this apartment in a separate building, owned by the same people, was a very pleasant contrast! It was a very comfortable stay and the two ensuite rooms were perfect! The rooms were both large (one was enormous) and beautifully decorated, the beds comfortable and the kitchen well-stocked for an overnight stay. Also loved the low level floor lighting in the bathrooms which meant a night-time visit didn't mean having bright lights on or stumbling around in the dark. AND - also in contrast to the Old Fleece - the windows had proper double glazing which meant the traffic noise was significantly dulled and I had a great night's sleep.

An extractor fan in the kitchen (for damp?) was permanently on. There were no instructions about how to switch it off... A bit intrusive when sitting downstairs. The lighting in the smaller of the two bedrooms could have been a little brighter. Only small details.

Very well appointed room. Everything was available and nicely self-contained. Enormous TV. Comfortable bed. Nice furnishings and decor.

Instructions on where to park and from where to collect the keys could've been made more explicit.

I liked the decor. Pub close by. Overall ,good location. Friendly staff. Kitchen well equipped ( if you staying one or two nights). Big screen tv with Sky 🙂

I will try to be as honest as I can be. The accommodation was/is functional, it serves its purpose. However, ive got a few reservations. From the pictures, I had a an impression that the outside area is more secure, more secluded-no! There is no any security and it's near the main, busy road. The chairs outside are dirty. There is no window, only main glass door, which in my opinion it's not very convenient especially in a hot weather. You will need to sleep with the door open to avoid suffocating which is not very safe. My dog went under the bed and came out white ( she is black) lol. She was covered in white dusty stuff all over. Floor, curtains not as clean as they should be ( in my opinion).
