It was nice that the host personally welcomed us when we arrived. The room was wonderful — very warm and clean. The room had everything we needed and even more. It was very nice that the host personally prepared fried eggs with bacon for us. The breakfast was delicious, and the breakfast area was nicely set up and pleasant

Lovely location off the main road. Lovely upstairs apartment with kitchen facilities and utensils and a very spacious bedroom area. This turned out to be handy because on wednesdays all the local restaurants are shut! easy to find and good parking. very nice welcome even though I was early and he went out of his way to ensure that my food intolerances were managed at breakfast. wifi was excellent once I got the code right.

Kept bumping my head on the tv which is just above the computer desk. It took ages to get the wifi code right: it was so long. I got a little chilly during the evening but couldnt find a way to turn on the heating (I think the central heating was off. I know it's May but I do like a really warm room!) I'm nitpicking though. It was lovely there.

The personal touch made the stay unforgettable

The breakfast was super rich and the owner prepared eggs and coffee for us. We had the royal treatment :). Since we arrived late in the evening and there was no restaurant open, the owner arranged for us to eat at a local restaurant where we had the most tasty Blonde d'Aquitaine meat steak that I ever eat. The wife of the owner has a really good taste and all is decorated super nice. I will definitely go back, the personal touch was highly appreciated.

I could not use the electric charger, that was for the 10+. But overall it was a 10 experience for sure.

Really nicely decorated, very clean and large rooms, indistinguishable from quality hotels, with comfortable beds and a fan for warm summer nights. Friendly host, nice basic local breakfast. Calm location, yet only a few kilometers from a major highway, so it's fairly easy to get to by car. Back yard to our use, to for example eat or relax in in the evening. The host provided an extension cable for charging an hybrid vehicle on request, which was a nice bonus.

Fresh juices, nice selection of cereals. Wonderful egg and bacon. Friendly staff, and friendly other guests. All in all a wonderful stay! I do recommend it, and would come back.

It was such a great place! I wish we had spent more time there as it was perfect for what we wanted. The small villages are so interesting and the proximity to the larger cities is very good. Plus, the place, the owner, the breakfasts, the conversations, and his help and kindness to us made it just the best!

We used the B&B as a one night stay on our way to the Eurotunnel. Really friendly, family atmosphere. Breakfast was great and left no wishes open. Wish we'd had a little more time there.

Perfect little gem centrally located

Great location and very central. The room was spacious and with a seperate entrance and bathroom made it even more comfortable. Communication was great and Gus was a fantastic host. We will use as a base again when visiting Belgium and would highly recommend. The bath robes were a nice touch. The breakfast was superb and very substantial.

Peaceful haven, everything I could have wanted - thankyou

The host laid a stunning breakfast and was also keen to offer me options considering my allergies carefully. He was so kind and helpful. What a very lovely breakfast. The room was spacious, The decorations everywhere were delightful, I had everything I could want and the bed was super comfy. I took a stroll with my dog before bedtime, the streets felt very safe and friendly despite being quite empty. I was also able to sit a while in their lovely garden with a cup of tea and chat with the fish, swing in the swing chair etc. A perfect way to unwind after a long drive. Thank you so much. I will be back.

A fantastic B&B which we will definitely return to again if we need accommodation in the area

we had 2 rooms both of which were a good size and had their own bathrooms. There were coffee machines in both rooms. The location was perfect for us as we were on our way to Eurotunnel which was 2 hours away. Even though is a small village there seemed to be a few restaurants to choose from and if you are prepared to drive a little further there are even more in nearby villages. Breakfast was amazing and Gus was extremely friendly and helpful.

This is why I'd choose a family-owned B&B over a hotel at any time, hands down. When I arrived, the owner personally received me, and showed me the room along with the dining room. He asked me what I wanted for breakfast (their default breakfast is buffet). I told him I had to leave at 7 am, so if he wanted to give me breakfast, it needs to be at 6.30. And I like eggs for breakfast. Neither was a problem for him. The room was spacious and very clean, the bed comfortable, the night very quiet and relaxing, and by the time I was ready for breakfast at 6.30, the buffet table was laid nicely and hot scrambled eggs waited for me on a separate plate, right on time. I noticed two pianos in the room so I assumed he and his family liked music. There was some classical chamber music playing on the radio very quietly. I asked him if it was Mozart (sounded like it, I used to play classical music as a child), he checked it, and indeed. So, we had a short chat about Mozart and Milos Forman's ingenious Amadeus movie in particular. I left at 7 with the experience of having been exceptionally well taken care of.

Excellent pet-friendly property

We had a great nights stay at De Pauw. We were in transit from Amsterdam to Paris and this was the ideal location to break the journey and have a peaceful nights sleep. The host Guus was really welcoming, kind to our dog (who stayed with no extra charge) and served an excellent breakfast in the morning. We would be happy to come back again!

First of all I arrived there very very late, but the host organized everything very carefully for me, with indicators and signboard, so I could find the location very easy. Parking place available and safe. Room big, clean and with everything you need inside. Breakfast was excellent and they really take care of you. Thank you once again and wish you good luck!
