Natural Wonders House

De ligging in de natuur met het fantastische uitzicht vanaf de steiger boven en aan het huis. Zo kun je vanuit je huis verschillende dieren spotten.

Location and setting were fantastic. The washer and dryer, a huge part of the reason we booked it, worked great. Kitchen was well furnished, maybe needs a few more cooking utensils and a dishwasher would be great, but overall it was very nice. The beds were comfortable, and every room had a fan, no ac in the house. But it really wasn't needed. The deck, and watching all the animals running around, was wonderful. A great place to have morning coffee. Wifi worked great. Daniela was fantastic, always available and left us some delicious banana bread. She couldn't meet us at check in, but left fantastic instructions. We had three (3) very nice nights here.

An additional lamp or two would be very nice. The house needs a little bit of updating in the bathrooms, the basic type of thing, but it would make a difference. Absolutely nothing that would keep us from spending another night at it. No big issues.

It took us a little while to find the house (better directions would help) and then once we were there, it took a while to connect with the owner (we ended up going to the nice Italian restaurant down the way and using their phone because mine wouldn't work) but when she arrived, Anna had lovely eggnog and banana bread and once we got her in our WhatsApp she was very responsive. The house itself was in a lovely spot, we saw toucans and agouti and were able to walk to the butterfly area and a small store and a couple of sanctuaries. The location was great! It was nicely situated both to stay home and hang out and see birds and creatures and also to easily walk to a lot of stuff.

There are no screens on the windows so it's kind of a choice between being hot and stuffy and leaving the windows open and letting the creatures in. We found a couple of scorpions in the house (a little unsettling) as well as giant spiders. There were pretty big gaps under the door and even in the bathroom window, so even if you kept windows closed, bugs could still make their way in pretty easily. Didn't see any mosquitos, so that was good! At night it was pretty windy and it seemed like maybe part of the roof (or a tree?) was slamming against the house (we couldn't figure out what it was but it was loud).
