This was absolutely the best bird viewing accommodation we had on our trip to Costa Rica. The apartment is efficient but comfortable with some beautiful features. The large bedroom and kitchen windows offer excellent views straight into the rainforest or out over the hillside garden facing West for spectacular sunsets. The patio opens at mid tree level perfect to see the dozens of types of birds as they go about their business. We saw several birds from the patio we had only heard elsewhere. The car park is secure and the proximity to multiple reserves, including Monteverde and Curi Cancha is unbeatable. On top of this the owners communicated our arrival details clearly with plenty of advanced notice and remained attentive to us during our stay. Our stay here was a highlight of our trip!

My friends and I booked this property last minute because our other host cancelled due to a roof leak, and we were happy with our new home!We were a bit removed from the downtown Santa Elena, but we were within walking distance of Stella’s which was great for breakfast. We saw lots of wildlife from the property including monkeys, many birds, an agouti, and a black guan in the tree above the balcony. It was perfect for looking out over the forest and enjoying the nature sounds. The gate to the property was nice for security. We would recommend checking out the Don Juan chocolate/coffee tour and night walk.

We were in the modfle apt of 3. Can hear footsteps of residence above. Furniture is tacky. No comfortable sitting. Near a good restaurant-Stella.
