The owner was so sweet and helpful! I highly recommend staying here! There is a beautiful place to watch the sunset and you will have stunning views for your stay! It is very close to the cloud forest! It was very private and secluded, a perfect place to relax!

Very friendly owner and exceptional location with a view of the Gulf of Nicoya of the Pacific Ocean (and Nicoya Peninsula behind), especially during sunsets. You need a taxi or bus to go to the centre of Monteverde, but that is a small price to pay - there are two nice restaurants next to the Lodge as well. The owner will organise tours/trips/taxi for you upon request.
No complaints - a lovely and restful stay.

Beautiful view from the lodge.
No hot water, very cold at night and the cabins are old with thin walls, so you hear the wind making noise at night.
