Green Forest Rustic Houses

Well laid out chalet with (almost) everything we needed and it's less than a mile from the centre of Monteverde. The pool was great for relaxing in after a long day of exploring. Check in at Chira next door was easy. We arrived early and were able to leave our luggage there until our check in time. When we did check in, a member of staff brought our bags to the chalet in a golf cart. The view from the veranda out to the Gulf of Nicoya is beautiful.

We were in Chalet #2. Nothing wrong with that, it was a lovely, comfortable chalet. From the listing on Booking.com we had expected to have a seperate bedroom but actually this chalet had both beds in the one room, meaning no privacy from the kids. One of the chalets does have seperate bedrooms but not all of them. No laundry facilities - We had travelled from La Fortuna and had hoped to wash some of our activity wear. In the end we managed this in the sink. Not criticisms, but definitely worth mentioning is the exterior design of the chalet really catch the wind and make a gentle breeze sound like a howling gale. This can be quite distracting especially at night when trying to get to sleep. Also, a little more warning about the hill the chalets are located on would be helpful, 100M ascent in 400M - We were fine, but it would be a hard walk for less fit visitors! Taxis are cheap and readily available if needed.

Everything was clean, well arranged and well thought out. Beautiful property. Safe. Staff are very helpful and respond quickly.

It is up on a hill! When windy, you can hear it on the roof.

All was great, nice place, nice view, very well equipped and furniture was in perfect condition, the service and support was great!

The bed by the window needs to be fixed, it makes a lot of noise when you sit or turn, also the rails of the windows need cleaning, opening them was a bit hard and did not slide easily, the rest was amazing!
