Staying in the tranquil old town of Ohrid

Beautiful views and quiet location. It was quick to walk down to the lake and the bazaar area. The old town was quiet at night and the villa had a very tranquil feeling. Friendly and helpful staff made me feel at home. The kitchen area was fantastic to make hot drinks and to eat take out dishes. I would return there.

I was aware that the villa is located on a hill - thus the great views. Other guests might be put off a hill.

The location was good. There was a shared kitchen and coffee at disposal of guests. There was hot water in the shower. There is a nice shared sitting area for guests with a view.

The WiFi didn’t work in the room. The shower was overflowing whenever we took a shower and the water pressure was bad.

Comfortable Rooms, Great Views

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Dvor. The hostess is very friendly and communicates quickly and clearly. The room was tidy and comfortable, but our favorite thing about our stay was the balcony. You have a great view over the lake and there is a shared kitchen so you can enjoy a meal or drink while admiring the view. There is even free coffee and tea! The villa is a short walk into town and the surroundings are quiet. We would recommend it!

Brilliant place to stay

The view from the top room was stunning. They had communal area which had a kitchen and seating area, which was nice area to relax having breakfast or in an evening. Veritsa was very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. She was helpful with recommendations and booked us a taxi back to the airport when needed.

A perfect getaway - Exceeded all expectations!

A spacious, bright and incredibly clean villa. Fresh, thoughtfully decorated interior - simple elegant and cozy. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud - exactly what i needed after a long day of travel. You can tell the owners have put a lot of love into the property. Its not just rental - it feels like a true retreat. If you are visiting Ohrid and want a peaceful, private and beautifully designed place to stay, this villa is an absolute gem! Highly recommend!

Highly Recommend!

Loved our room (#5). Large room with comfortable bed. Not directly across from shared kitchen/outdoor dining area so perhaps a little quieter than other rooms. Loved having our own private patio outside our door. Enjoyed having access to a shared kitchen. This allowed us to prepare meals when we didn’t want to dine out. It was also a great way to meet other guests. We found guests kept the kitchen neat and tidy. Beautiful view from the outdoor dining area

The walk up the hill to the hotel is a killer, especially in the heat of summer, even worse if you have luggage. The kitchen could use a couple of additional things - colander for draining pasta, pot holders or dish towel. Not a big deal. We managed okay without them. Hotel charges 5 euros to rent a beach towel.

No TV signal for duration of 14 day stay

Overall the property is in a good location in the old part of Ohrid.

I stayed at Villa Dvor for close to 14 days. When I checked in I noticed the television had no signal and raised it the next day. A week later I raised it again. The expectation is that the Property Manager or owner needs to rectify whatever does not operate in the property, find a solution, offer discount or similar. In this case there was no communication at all, nil. The rule of customer service is that you don’t make excuses if something is not right you rectify it. At the end of the day it is not the guests problem, it is your problem that you need to rectify. The guest is paying for their stay, it is not free. Other guests advised of the same issue, no TV signal in their rooms. Cleanliness of the common kitchen could also be improved.

Breathtaking views and truly homely

The location was excellent and the interior of the accommodation was very well done. The view from the rooms on the top floor were simply breathtaking. We booked 5 rooms and everyone was very happy with the rooms they got. The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. I would throughly recommend and would stay here again in the future.

Amazing location, with enormous potential. We love this accommodation.

We have been customers for more than 4 years now. The accommodation is great, the location is great, the price is great. When we first stayed there, the accommodation felt 90% complete... felt like its missing details to be outstanding, some fittings seemed incomplete, etc.. Four years later it still feels 90% complete, with some of the fittings of course needing replacements due to standard wear and tear. The accommodation is great, and we will continue to go there. I am simply bummed that very little is needed to make world-class.

Value for money (and location and cleanliness) surely unbeatable!

We were very impressed with Villa Dvor, which we had only booked for our first night before moving into an Airbnb. Had we known how well located, modern and clean the place was, we would've happily stayed here the whole 3 nights and saved some money. The lovely young lady at check-in who we met to ask if we could drop our bags off, even let us into the room early as it was already ready. The guest kitchen and sunny, communal outdoor area with even a bit of lake view are also lovely "extras". Just a tip for travellers: Our experience was that you only get one duvet to share wherever you sleep in Ohrid, so if you easily get cold at night or have a duvet-hogging partner, best pack some snuggly pyjamas or ask for another blanket.

In the bathroom the shower curtain was too small, hence when we took shower the floor was filled with water which was quite dangerous. Also there was no stock of toilet paper, which was somehow uncomfortable as we had to wait until the morning to ask for one at the reception, as the first roll was over during the second night.
