The Cottage at Long Sands

This was our 6th years in a row staying here so this feels like a little home away from home for us. Having the 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer and 4 bedrooms is great for our family with 2 grown children. We love the cozy vibe. We enjoy being close to the beach-we like to sit on the cement steps across the street. We noticed new appliances this year inc. washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher. The new rug in living room was much needed and appreciated!

This year, I felt like we were provided with less little amenities compared to past years which didn't feel as welcoming and seems to be a change from past years. For example, one towel set per person (some of us need a second towel for hair), 1 small towel for floor mats in each bathroom- so we had to run laundry daily to keep up with having clean, dry towels but we were provided with only one packet of laundry detergent. We also ran out of kitchen trash bags (we had to take trash out nightly due to ants). We were provided with one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom for 6 nights and about 1/4 of a small paper towel roll which we used up quickly keep the kitchen and bathroom clean. A couple boxes of tissues would have been nice. We went out to buy supplies- but brought home what we didn't use. The rug on stairs and upstairs hallway really needs to be washed or replaced as well as pillows on couch. We had an issue with dishwasher not working (it was a tripped circuit-I wish we had figured that out ourselves but we didn't notice the painted circuit box in the bedroom) but the GOOD news was that the rental contact/maintenance was very quick to respond and help us- maintenance even returned same day with ant traps after he addressed the tripped circuit. (Manuel was great and we appreciated him- Thank you, Manuel!)

Location was great, close to the beach and not to far from the venue where the wedding we attended was held

Microwave in kitchen was dead and that affected our plans a bit

Very clean and up to date. Within walking distance to ocean and Restaurant.

Absolutely nothing! Would highly recommend and will stay again.

The house was very clean. Access was easy. The furniture and beds were comfy.

We could not raise the heat above the 67 setting. On those 9 degree nights, the house was chilly. Although we knew in advance that we could not use the gas fireplace, it would have added to our comfort. We could not lock the door and reenter. We watched the video, but to no avail. So we left the house open when we went out.
