As you enter the home, you’re welcomed by a convenient landing area — the perfect spot to kick off your sandals, hang up beach towels, and settle into vacation mode.
The lower level offers a cozy and functional setup, complete with a three-quarter bathroom and washer/dryer, making post-beach cleanups a breeze. There’s a peaceful queen bedroom for restful nights, plus a second living room featuring a flat-screen TV and a queen sleeper sofa — ideal for movie nights or additional guests.
Just beyond, you’ll find a spacious twin bedroom overlooking the ocean, creating a serene space to relax and recharge. This room also includes a desk, so if work happens to follow you to Maine, at least you’ll have an inspiring view while you answer emails.
Upstairs on the main level, the heart of the home opens into a bright and airy living, dining, and kitchen space designed for gathering together. Open the screen doors to the porch, fire up the gas grill, and enjoy effortless indoor-outdoor living with salty ocean breezes all around.

This is our second year staying at A Wave From It All in York ME with Salt & Shine. We cannot recommend this company and this property enough. The house is clean, spacious, and well kept. For the small details: Most drawers and cabinets are labeled to assist you in finding the most used items. There are ample beach towels that are provided. The shed is stocked with tons of beach essentials. The housekeeping service stocks the house with enough toiletries to get started on your week vacation. For the bigger details: this property is close to EVERYTHING. Located right by the General Store on Long Sands, immediate beach access, ample parking at the property, and only a short walk to short sands via dirt road make this property perfect.
On our vacation we enjoyed sitting on the deck with views of Long Sands, walking into Short Sands every morning for coffee, a gorgeous kitchen to make meals to avoid takeout, and several evenings of family time in the spacious living room.
We cannot recommend this property and company enough. We are looking forward to being back next year!

A Wave From It All is a lovely home only steps from the beach. It is well appointed and very comfortable. Clean and very well maintained. A short walk the convenience store and restaurants. And one of the only rentals that allows dogs that is very close to Long Sands. The fenced back yard is a perfect spot to let the dogs out.
Further, Salt and Shine so rocks as a rental agency. They are so accommodating, timely and friendly. Such a win-win.

We stayed for 1 week with 5 adults and a newborn. The house was spacious, accommodating, and was fully stocked with all that we needed for a week of making memories.
The essentials were plentiful. Everything was in working order. We truly felt at home.
We had 2 rainy days that we utilized the kitchen for cooking homemade meals - the kitchen was stocked with all the basics and made for a great experience. There was enough dining room for all 5 of us and an infant.
I can’t say enough positive about this house or the Salt and Shine team for making our first vacation for our little one truly one to remember.

We had a great family Thanksgiving at the beach. So nice to have young adult children there for different days. Realtor very responsive to any questions I had.
