About this apartment rental
"Le Petit Diamant" has everything you'll want to enjoy your stay on the Cote d'Azur. The apartment has been completely renovated with high-quality appointments and air conditioning! The common areas of this 16th-Century building have also been renovated. Air conditioning and double-pane windows insure a comfortable, quiet place to be.
Nestled within the heart of the Old Town, the first floor walk-up apartment features very large windows to view the romantic cafe scenes below. Two dedicated sleeping areas, and quality furnishings throughout.
Actual location in Vieux Nice definitely MATTERS! This can’t be stressed enough. We are on a clean, quiet and interesting street full of shops, restaurants, cafes and galleries. Many other apartments are in dark, dreary alleys, near smelly garbage service stations and/or close to the very loud main squares. Even on the most lively nights, our new double-pane windows ensure a quiet sleep. Do an Internet map search for our apartment at: 2 Rue de la Boucherie and have a look around.
The main bedroom has queen-sized loft bed with the living space below. The second sleeping area is a mezzanine above the kitchen with a twin/single-sized bed; this is accessible by a sweet ladder — perfect for children 10 years old+. PLEASE do inform us if you plan to use the mezzanine - otherwise there will not be linens. Note; there is a small 20€ flat surcharge for using the mezzanine (extra linens and cleaning) paid to the Property Manager at check-in.
The kitchen is very well equipped with new stainless steel Electrolux appliances, large refrigerator, and dinette set. The bathroom/WC is complete with a shower and towel warmer. Please view the pictures and read the details from room to room.
**Maximum occupancy is two adults and one child. We are NOT accepting reservations for three adults. There is a small 20€ flat surcharge for using the mezzanine (extra linens and cleaning) paid to the Property Manager at check-in. Minimum age for reserving guests is 25. Proof of age will be required at check-in. The third guest may ONLY be a child under the age of 18 accompanied by at least one parent or legal guardian.
No pets INCLUDING service animals - unfortunately one of our family members has extreme allergies. The use of Service Animals are not lawfully protected in France and due to owner’s severe allergies, we CANNOT accommodate animals of any kind.
NO SMOKING or VAPING - again, one of the owners has extreme allergies.
To protect us and the cleanliness for future guests; if you smoke/vape or have an animal; you agree to a minimum fee of 500€ for sanitation cleaning and Ozone treatment.
DO NOT take bath towels and/or our furniture to the beach. It shouldn’t need to be said - but it’s happened and things have been ruined as a result.
LATE CHECK IN FEE: Guests pay the fee in cash upon check-in to Property Manager - 20€ after 8pm-10pm | 30€ after 10pm-11pm. There is no check-in after 11:00pm
ADDITIONAL CLEANING FEE: For use of the second bed in the mezzanine - flat fee of 20€ paid in cash to Property Manager at check-in covers the entirety of your stay.

PERFECT point of operation in Old Nice. Very clean. Perfectly appointed for two. Know ahead has induction stove top so you don’t buy a little non-returnable non-stick skillet from Monoprix like we did. The bed is elevated with a nice lounging area beneath. Must duck a little & even tho you know about it, you will hit your head - but it’s worth it! If you use the convenient washer, drying mode takes time….wait for all the beeps and for the click that unlocks the door. Then take advantage of the towel heating wrack to finish drying. We loved walking around & exploring every day. The Nice ferry “Charlotte” to Monaco was a great day trip w/informative narration on the way back! Tram #1 to Vauban, then bus #82/602 from the big station there to Èze is another excellent day trip with much to see!This 2-week celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary could not have been better…. We hope to return same time next year. :)

Very central location. Tram #1 is 59 meters away which brings you to the train station. Very handy. Old Nice is noisy at night but if you close the windows, it's fine. The kitchen is missing a few little things, but nothing major. All in all, a great little place to go back to in the evening. Comfy bed. Bathroom a bit small but did the trick. Towel warmer is a plus. Would return. Having all the shops at your doorstep is a huge plus. A pleasant 10 minute walk to the beach via the lively old streets. Coffee and croissants in front of the apartment. And the Nougat store!!!! The French Riviera is fabulous.

Small but enough for two. No TV and wifi only worked for one day after which we used the bar’s next door.Location in the old town was excellent and easily accessible by public transport.It was fine for winter because we were out all day. Very dark if you stayed in.
