Incredible view watching the surf from our bedroom, lovely selection for breakfast, perfect location next to beach and short walk to everything. We went to Dots for a night out and also joined a hostel and went to doctors house, The Ruin is close for amazing cocktails. Staff so helpful, we will be back.

Location is fantastic, right on the beach with a great view over the bay. Presumably that is what you are paying for, because other than that it is basically a homestay and I have paid less than half that elsewhere for a similar experience. AC worked fine and there was a mosquito net, and the bed was comfortable enough.
The door didn't close very well, the bathroom was pretty basic and the place seemed a bit untidy and unfinished (like to many places in Sri Lanka). Most breakfast options were unavailable and in general the breakfast was mediocre. The coffee was undrinkable.
