RURAL CLAY HOUSE Hiriketiya

We spent about a week at the Rural Clay House, and it definitely lived up to our expectations. The accommodation is very well located, peaceful, and only a few minutes’ walk from the beach. A great bonus is that you can even see the sea from the terrace. Breakfast was available for 3000 LKR and was both very tasty and generous. Of course, there were a few small animals such as geckos and ants, but that is to be expected in this kind of accommodation and it did not bother us at all. With the fan, we did not miss having air conditioning at night, and there was even warm water for showering. All in all, it was a lovely stay and a great place to relax for a few days.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Rural Clay House in Hiriketya. The location is perfect — a little outside the vibrant surf spot, so you get all the peace of nature while still being just a short walk from all the action. The owners are incredibly kind and genuinely caring. They make sure you have everything you need and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The house itself is cozy, comfortable, and provides everything you need. It has a lovely, homey vibe, and being surrounded by nature and animals (including some very cute dogs!) makes it even more special. There’s also a small massage studio right next door where I received one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Everything about my stay was wonderful, and I truly felt happy and at home here. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Hiriketya.
