We spent about a week at the Rural Clay House, and it definitely lived up to our expectations. The accommodation is very well located, peaceful, and only a few minutes’ walk from the beach. A great bonus is that you can even see the sea from the terrace. Breakfast was available for 3000 LKR and was both very tasty and generous. Of course, there were a few small animals such as geckos and ants, but that is to be expected in this kind of accommodation and it did not bother us at all. With the fan, we did not miss having air conditioning at night, and there was even warm water for showering. All in all, it was a lovely stay and a great place to relax for a few days.
