​Highlights: Food & Wildlife ​The food and drinks were absolutely delicious! It was incredibly convenient having an on-site restaurant; if you are looking for authentic, home-cooked Sri Lankan cuisine, this is the place. ​The surrounding wildlife was a delightful surprise right on my doorstep. During my short stay, I saw a dancing peacock, a Gray Langur monkey up close, and various beautiful birds. Location ​The location was ideal for what I was after. Tucked away from the noise but close enough to everything: ​Blue Beach: Just a few minutes away, perfect for relaxing on a secluded island if you venture deeper. ​Hiriketiya (Hiri) Beach: A 10–15 minute walk if you’re looking for a more fun and lively atmosphere with all the bars and restaurants. ​Service & Amenities ​The hosts were very friendly and made me feel safe and calm. While their English is limited, it didn't hinder the experience at all. They strike a good balance from what I experienced: they are happy to chat and get to know you, but they also respect your privacy if you prefer to be alone. They had a link to an great masseuse just around the corner which was an incredible, affordable and professional. ​The Room ​The room was spacious, clean, and private, featuring a comfortable bed and an essential mosquito net. Having my own bathroom was great for the price. ​Temperature: It is fan-cooled only. While it stayed perfectly cool enough to sleep at night (even as someone who tends to get hot), it did get quite warm during the day. ​Final Verdict ​I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for a bargain stay that feels authentically Sri Lankan—close enough to the action, but peaceful enough to escape it.

Nothing really. I think at first I was surprised at the location being quite quiet and secluded from the action but I soon realised how close it was to Hiri.
