Good Christmas Break which could have been excellent....

Been waiting before I do this review as it could have been different if I'd had a quicker resolution. Good points: Excellent location. The house is very well kitted out with everything you need. Smart TV so you can log into your Netflix & Prime accounts. Very comfortable bed & pillows. Very handy having a dishwasher. Reported boiler fault on Christmas morning & a maintenance man attended within 2 hours.

Stayed 5 nights Inc Christmas. Paid a premium for this. Barely decorated for Christmas, 2 ornaments above the fire, a teeny tiny Christmas tree & lights round bottom of living room window. I had emailed them the week before to find out if the place was decorated for Christmas but had no reply! Boiler packed up on Christmas morning with no central heating & no hot water. (There was an electric fire in the living room, could also be used but noisy) Maintenance man couldn't fix boiler, left us with 3 plug-in radiators to keep us warm but no hot water. Meant when we went out had to come back into a cold house as can't leave radiators plugged in when leaving house. Had to boil a kettle & run up & down stairs with it for washing as unable to have showers. (Shower connected to mains not built in shower unit!) Boil kettle for washing up things that don't fit in little dishwasher. Had msg on Boxing Day to say someone would be in touch ref compensation. Heard nothing so chased 5th Jan. It was as if they'd only just heard about it. Apparently, now waiting for the owners to decide whether some recompense is justified, 8th Jan still waiting.

Comfortable stay in the centre of Keswick

Well located in Keswcik, within walking distance of the shops, restaurants etc ..... parking surprisingly easy and free ! Comfortable and quiet property. Well kitted out and LOVED sll the sheep crockery, curtains etc. We enjoyed our 4 days here.

Having to strip the bed and put the rubbish out.. I had a problem with my wrist at the trime so having to do battle with a duvet at 8.30 in the morning was not my idea of a holiday activity. For the money I think the host could have done those. We cleaned the place throughly (which is what we would expect to do) but the little extras were asking a bit much. Otherwise it was a perfect place to stay. The only other thing would be to put better instructions on how to use the induction hob. Maybe on the wall.?? We are used to gas so it took a while to work out how to use it.

A great short break

Swinside was a very nice place to spend a few days. It was immaculate on arrival and has been simply but tastefully modernised. All appliances were of high standard and detailed instructions on how to operate them were left in a folder. Due to the Covid crisis the cleaning regime has been modified and again detail instructions were left for both guest use and also to inform the guest what the cleaner is doing to keep things safe. Sanitiser and spray cleaner are all provided. It gave such a feeling of confidence in the property. I'd definitely recommend Swinside

Yeah it was alright

The heating was brilliant, the bathroom was lovely, the sofa’s were very comfortable as were the beds.

No back door, no yard, too much stuff in the cupboards, too strict on where the dogs could go and be in the house.

Ihneď po príchode pocítite teplo domova. Ubytovanie bolo čisté, upratané, plne vybavené, vrátane návodov na užívanie čohokoľvek , čo v ňom nájdete. Nechýbali ani tipy na výlety a turistiku, vrátane turistických máp. AK Vám zrovna nevýjde počasie, k dispozícií sú aj spoločenské hry.
