Everything you needed was in the room and a lovely touch with the biscuits, milk and chocolate bars. Glynis was a lovely host and looked after us. Breakfast was excellent with alot of variety.

A good variety of snacks was provided, including several chocolate bars, which were perfect for the walking trip I had planned. I was pleasantly surprised to find gluten-free mini cheese snacks available as well, which was a lovely bonus. There was also an excellent selection of tea and coffee. Breakfast offered a fabulous variety of fresh fruit, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was also impressed that a bamboo toothbrush was provided for guests who may have forgotten to bring one. The location of the single bed was perfect, allowing me to relax comfortably while watching the World Cup matches.

Kendal seemed a little quieter than I remembered, with several shops having closed, which is unfortunately something seen in many towns across the UK. This is, of course, no reflection on the local people. I hope the town will become busier again once the roadworks have been completed.

Glenys, the owner is a lovely lady and very friendly and chatty. The breakfast she provides is excellent. Lots of fresh fruits to choose from, yoghurts, cereals and toast plus the usual full English. Close to shops and restaurants. Lovely room, comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom kept clean and fresh, with M&S toiletries, plenty of hot water and lovely big soft towels and bath robes.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay again if in the area.
