Apartments Put Plokita Smilja

The host is very kind. We arrived with a rented car, so he met us in the street to guide us to a parking lot where we could unload the car; that was very handy because the GPS coordinates given by GoogleMaps led me to a location located about 200 m away. Similarly, the day we were leaving, we had a late flight (21:15h departure), so he stored our luggage to allow us to visit the city a last time, rather than spending many hours bored to death at the airport. The apartment is located at about a 20 minute walk from the old town. Given the rather contorted bus network and the difficulty of buying inexpensive tickets (on the bus, you pay twice the rate that you can get from the city's mobile app, which is difficult to configure), being able to walk to the old town is a great advantage. But visiting Split is a must, if you come to Croatia. Diocletian's palace, which became the initial old town, is of outstanding interest, without much of the hassle that you will experience if you try to visit Dubrovnik.

The building's front door (which leads to several apartments, not just the one discussed here) needs to be fixed; when shut closed, even with the key, you cannot open it. But the host told me that this will soon be fixed. Fortunately, all tenants (or co-owners) of the building seem to know this, so the door is normally not shut closed.

Spacious, spotless clean, comfortable beds, washing machine with detergent provided, first floor, friendly neighbourhood, air con in every room, . Basic decor but we had everything We needed. Would stay here again.

Logement propre, spacieux et confortable. Accueil aimable et respectueux. Hôte tout à fait disponible et serviable. L’extérieur peut paraître pas très attrayant de prime abord mais environnement très calme et familial. On peut se rentre à pied dans la vieille ville en une quinzaine de minutes. Je recommande en tout point !

A little far from town on foot. We took the bus into town and luckily, the bus is usually on time!
