Villa del Commendatore Sirugo

Beautiful property - with a stunning pool with diving board. We stayed in the 4 bed house which was incredibly spacious with a terrace and endless amenities. Well stocked kitchen with pots, pans, washing up liquid, cooking oil, some spices, fridge/freezer, hob, coffee machine, oven grill and microwave. Washing machine available too. Giuseppe was available when needed as were his parents - all so helpful with prompt responses. There's a pretty beach around a 5-10 min walk out the back of the property - it's quite a small beach with minimal facilities. Noto beach is not far away and well worth a visit, as is Noto town.

We did have a bit of a bug problem - ants, mosquitoes, and others - but to be expected in nature and sicilian heat. As others have said, there aren't many places to eat nearby - but that's not a fault of the property, just something to bear in mind. Taxis aren't easy to book or cheap.

Like staying on a film set! Beautifully quirky decor, brilliant pool, very clean, comfy beds, huge shared living area (we were in the two bedroom apartment), well landscaped gardens. Great location for exploring Siracuse and Ortigia without being too close. The hosts are absolutely lovely. Only a very short walk to the beach and lots of seats and umbrellas provided for guests. Many other beaches within a short drive.

Very little that I would change about the apartment itself. Air con in the smaller bedroom would have been welcome. And an oven perhaps (it has a microwave combi). Outside of that, would have liked more options to eat within walking range - the only place on the beach shuts at 7pm (the kitchen even earlier than that) and doesn't really cater to vegetarians. Everything else is a short drive away. Google Maps has the directions wrong, routing you off down a side road rather than taking you to the front gate on the main road.

Villa splendida, con enorme parco e piscina in cui è possibile anche nuotare ed allenarsi. Gli interni sono un po’ datati ma ricchi di fascino. Bagno grande, climatizzatore e cucina. Comoda ad Avola e tutto il sud della costa ionica

Nell’appartamento da 3 il climatizzatore è presente solo in una camera e per rinfrescare l’appartamento dovevamo lasciare acceso tutto il giorno. A mio avviso gli infissi (balconi e finestre andrebbero sistemati e sostituite per avere un isolamento migliore ed essere più pratici in aperture e chiusura) Fornello a 2 fuochi abbastanza scomodo. Detto questo, il soggiorno è stato un piacere perché la proprietà è meravigliosa.
