Caponegro is a modern, exclusive villa by the sea situated near Avola, 25 km south of Syracuse. Set in a wonderful sea front location, the property is just a few steps away from a delightful bay that can be easily reached on foot. Surrounded by a lovely garden with natural lawn, young olive trees, ornamental and aromatic plants, Caponegro offers large, equipped outdoor spaces and an exclusive Jacuzzi, which are the perfect spots for outdoor living. Set on one level, the welcoming, well-organised interior features a contemporary elegant style. It includes a bright living-room with kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large veranda, that with large glass doors opens onto the terrace and garden, creating a harmonious continuum between the interior and exterior. The annex houses the third bedroom with private bathroom. The property also comes with internet Wi-Fi, air conditioning, 2 TVs, dishwasher and washing machine, dryer and bbq. Ideal retreat for a relaxing holiday, Caponegro is also an excellent base for visiting the most beautiful towns of eastern Sicily. Syracuse, Noto, Modica, Scicli, Catania and Taormina, the nature reserves of Cavagrande del Cassibile and Vendicari, the fishing resorts of Marzamemi and Portopalo di Capo Passero and the lovely beaches of Avola, Fontane Bianche and Calamosche are all a short drive away.

We stayed a little over 3 week, the end of October into November. Our contact/hostess was great - quick response to any questions or issues. I asked for the lawn to be mowed & it was taken care of (once). Interior matched the pictures. The exterior not exactly- hot tub was not working & there are no stairs to the beach. We knew about the hot tub not working just prior to our stay -was hoping it would be fixed - we did use it during the hot days (it was a cool temp). The town of Alvola is very small & a lot of restaurants & shops shut down for the “winter”. But we did find a few wonderful places for food and drinks. Definitely need a car & some driving skills for the two way 1 lane road leading to the house. The enclosed sun porch was wonderful on the couple of days that the weather wasn’t great - totally enjoyed the outdoor furnishings. We would stay again - great location to explore the East Coast.
