Great location really quiet and great for evening walks. Really comfy bed and huge rooms!
We used the mini hob / stove top a fair bit.
Bathroom hot water appears to be on a timer, no hot water before 8am. We had no hot water at all on the last day and so had to fill the bath using the kettle and big pan just to get washed before setting off. No one likes a freezing cold shower!
The stovetop and sink doors do not fold right the way back so you end up elbowing them when cooking but the stovetop works fine.
Could really do with some narrow bedside tables to avoid putting the coffee mug on the floor (we were worried about coffee stains etc). Luckily we had brought some drinks coasters with us.
We tried the bath but the water looked 'rusty' so stuck to the shower apart from the last day.

Breakfasts served in our room as is expected at this time. Arrangements for this were excellent. Tasty and plenty to eat. Porridge kept us going all day while out walking in the hills!

Corry Lodge is a stunning example of Georgian architecture- so romantic, peaceful and decorated in a perfectly understated way. Our bed was huge and so comfortable, great breakfast, everything we needed. The house sits right by the sea, surrounded by some simple and beautifully kept gardens featuring a couple of ancient trees which frame the sea view. I didn’t want to leave. The village is a 8-10 min walk, has a good supermarket, excellent fish and chip
Shop (battered scallops were amazing!!) and a few good seafood restaurants you can book. Stunning beach and forest walks from the doorstep. We will be back again! Thanks so much John! :)
