A charming pub hotel that consists of several buildings flanking the street approaching the loch in Plockton, a very picturesque though out of the way town on a beautiful loch, not to far off the NC500 and en route to Skye. The pub serves as a village centre of sorts and the staff there are very caring. The rooms are decorated with pieces by local artists.

Our first time staying at the inn since it was acquired and refurbished by Highland Coast hotels, and our first time taking our dog with us. He and we loved it! The staff could not have been nicer, our room was lovely and the food delicious. Can't wait to go back.
I preferred the bar as it was before! It was old fashioned, with the makeover it has lost a wee bit of its charm and character.

Shower was electric so a bit weak, but decent enough

It was very charm and in a beautiful village. The hospitality is exceptional, and the helpfulness is unparalleled
It was very cold in the room even though the radiator was turned up all the way. It's true that it's winter, but the cold came in through the windows despite the heating. My husband and I were both cold.

The ensuite room was unbelievable cozy with a very well spaced ensuite bathroom and shower . In a few words I loved staying overnight in Plockton .

The breakfast in the haven was fine.
The service fell apart in the hotel.
The starter we ordered was never served and the main course was over an hour late.
Staff were dysfunctional as they were only 2 shifts from the end of there contract .Totally unsatisfactory.
We will not return .

Friendly staff. Good lunch and dinner. Excellent breakfast, with a takeaway of goodies to eat on my train trip home! Lovely location which I enjoyed even in november. Room was spacious, warm and comfortable
Ensuite was good but silicone sealer around shower was a bit mouldy.

The 2 rooms we got were modern and clean and cosy. Onsite parking was a bonus.
The staff were very friendly (except for one) and helpful.
The restaurant food was great but you need to book even in the low season for an allocated timed seating. The good service was good.
The public bar area is very small and you can’t just walk in and sit down at a table; you need to check with the bar staff first.
The barman was not very accommodating or polite. In fact he grunted at us when I went to check in at 3pm. When there was a change over in service for 5 minutes, he got my drink order incorrect. When I told him it wasn’t what I ordered, he slammed the glass down on his side of the bar and muttered something about the other staff member under his breath. (I mean like who has coke with brandy!)
As I am an older lady in my 60’s I was offended but didn’t say anything and felt very intimidated especially when there were 3 local men sitting at the tiny bar drinking taking up all the space and I was squashed into a corner to order. My daughter ordered a martini off the menu to have with dinner and after the waitress checked with the barman to make it, she came back and told my daughter “sorry can you order something else as he’s too busy to make the drink”. This we found quite bizarre and of a very poor standard of service. The barman’s attitude put a dampner on our night which was disappointing.

Nice friendly staff and excellent food in the restaurant although the menu was limited.
The only small issue, which I didn’t mention at the time, was the breakfast was cold

The area was nice.
Cold room, radiator was not working. Restaurant was slow, food was over salted and the staff were rude.

Staff were lovely.
You are paying for where it is rather than what it is. Past it's best and needs a lot of money spent on it. A bit grubby and breakfast wasn't very hot

Good location centre in the heart of plockton and all of its amenities.
We paid a fortune to stay here and we ended up in a different hotel, the haven which was a guesthouse. Our room was by the entrance door which seemed to be an old office with a glass door having blue tacked blind on it. We could hear everyone doing everything. One person started chundering in the middle of the night which was odd. So where we actually stayed was different to what we had booked. Food was pretty average despite everyone saying it’s amazing. Maybe everyone’s hungry because it’s in the middle of nowhere? I’m not sure. Breakfast. Well, stone cold & we were first down to it? How does that work? Lady was chasing robin around the dining area which was slightly weird. And then they tried to charge us £20 to stay in a different place? Not sure where that came from. Wouldn’t go back. Did not live up to previous reviews, compared to newton lodge which was the same brand and price completely different experience.

Great Location, helpful welcoming staff and lovely restaurant.
We were given a room at The Haven building next door to the inn. The room was very poorly decorated with chipped paint and peeling wallpaper and we woke up to large damp patches on the walls next to the bed following rain overnight. Not the “touch of luxury” we were expecting as advertised. Very overpriced in our experience.

Breakfast was excellent. Cooked breakfast was hot, well cooked and well presented.
Dinners were also excellent.
Staff were great. Really friendly and helpful. A small team that works really hard.
Great location within Plockton. The beach was lovely on the sun y day we had.
Great location for a visit to Skye
The Inn has bought the Haven hotel. This is great for capacity, but we were not in the main building, although this meant we were in the building with breakfast.
The issue is that the bedrooms are in need of decoration. The carpet wasn't great and the room felt tired. We hope there is a plan to bring these up to spec, as otherwise this is a great place
