Everything was perfect!

Everything was perfect! For what we paid (just under $100) for one night for 2 adults and 1 child, including breakfast - it was absolutely perfect! The room was very spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was enormous, the staff were extremely friendly and all went above & beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We were only here for one night, but I wish we could have stayed for a few more nights. We will be back!

Peaceful retreat in Ubud

Amazing place to stay, quiter peaceful side of Ubud. Ubud 7- 10 minutes car ride away..staff are excellent, polite and helpful- special mention to Surya and Nopi.Room was very comfortable and clean with exotic fruit bowl which was complementary.

Small issue with blinds which couldn't be closed. This was only a minor issue.

Exceptional staff

Our stay was absolutely exceptional! The cleanliness of the villa was outstanding and truly stood out. We loved the modern, well-decorated suite, which felt both stylish and comfortable. The location is perfect if you are looking for peace; it’s very calm and far from any noise. The staff were a highlight of our trip—always incredibly friendly and constantly going the extra mile to ensure we were happy. Additionally, the food was delicious, and the laundry service was professional and always on time.

Great overall experience

Everything about the place was perfect, the location, the peace and the friendliness of the staff. Everything was been taken care of and all amenities were provided as promised. The best thing about this place is the peace we get here. One of the best place to stay in Ubud and the infinity private pool was top notch.

First of all, we really regretted booking a villa with a private pool. The villa with a pool was very dirty (sheets, bugs). The bed was full of ants. When we first entered the room, there was a bad smell of damp and the ventilation was inadequate. The Wi-Fi didn't work. When we contacted the reception, they offered to clean the room. They cleaned the room again but put back dirty sheets. We wanted to cancel, but we couldn't and moved to another room (the one without the private pool). In this room, there were ants everywhere, but fewer, and the bad smell persisted. The hot water was insufficient. It took an hour to fill the bathtub. The reception staff were nice and polite, but the place was poor for the price. We were not satisfied. We do not recommend it.

Better than expected!

This place was great. The room was cleaned properly and the staff were amazing! The included breakfast was really good and the staff were super accommodating to me. Would highly recommend and happily stay here next time.

The location is a little out of the way but fine if you are happy to grab a scooter. I stayed here because it was a 5 min walk to a gym and good restaurants.

Breakfast was always cold, menu food wasnt that nice. wasnt easy to go for a walk around the neighbourhood as the roads are too small and busy the mattress wasnt comfortable

Great location, may not be ideal for young children

The location is absolutely fantastic. It is just outside Ubud Center, so there are no tourists around, while being just 15-20 minutes away to Central Ubud by car. It is quite close to Tegallalang (< 20 minutes by car). It is easy to access both Northern Bali & Southern Bali by road - they're around 2-3 hours away depending on traffic. The villa is nice - it has a private pool, that overlooks a rice field (at the time we were there the rice field was unmaintained). The breakfast is nice - they can make eggs & pancakes with fruits.

The water pressure in the bathroom is really poor. The shower barely lets out any water. The utensils in the kitchen were really dirty - completely unusable. If you plan to cook, bring your own utensils. We ended up going to a store in Ubud Center & buying them. Given the villa is open & there is a rice field right next to it, expect lizards, frogs, snails, cockroaches & other insects to be around, especially in the evening & early in the morning. They're not really a bother, but our son was a bit scared by this. We also ended up finding a tiny snake inside our room under a suitcase on the day we left. Given we had requested an extra mattress, which was on the floor, this scared us, especially considering we were traveling with a child. The staff onsite did come and remove the snake immediately though.

Breakfast was always on time & delicious with different options

There was no telephone in the room so if you needed to communicate anything you had to walk to reception and sometimes there wasn’t anyone there. The Netflix wasn’t working the whole duration of our stay. We had to watch you tube. We paid to watch a movie but the wifi wasn’t working well enough so it wouldn’t upload. It wasn’t a big issue for us though.

Booked for my partner so see his review below: Amazing stay. Staff were incredibly friendly and the room was absolutely gorgeous. After a long day of flying and an hour plus scooter up to Ubud, it was very refreshing to have everything ready, taken care of and to be able to relax in a clean, air conditioned room. Breakfast was yummy though a little on the cold side but that is probably my fault for being late. The location is excellent though it’s not walking distance to the main shopping precinct of Ubud, so I’d suggest renting a scooter for the duration of your stay.

Fantastic little villa!!!

Nice secluded location away from all the busy tourist areas, small local restaurants only a 3 minute walk away with delicious home cooked food for very good prices. Breakfast was included and was delicious. The rooms were very spacious and clean with powerful showers.

The villa is advertised on booking.com with photographs of a beautiful pool looking out onto a fantastic view. This is what made the property appealing to us. When we got there we realised, much to our disappointment that the pool was belonging to a private villa and the general pool for the rest of the villa was quite small and right next to the reception- it was still nice but this is false advertising to the customer. Also we were awakened extremely early every morning to the noise of dogs barking and roosters crowing which kept us awake from an early hour. The dogs also barked late into the night which prevented us from getting to sleep.

Good

Tranquil and secluded, in the middle of the rice paddies. There’s a lot to do around - rice terrace with many beautiful cafes just north, cultural centre just south. Monkey forest and Bali zoo not too far. If you’re looking for the cultural side and less of a party scene it’s definitely your place to be. Staff very friendly and accomodating.

Villas don’t really match the photos. One of the workers had their alarm go off each morning at 6am and could hear it from the room. The bed was rock hard with a 1 inch memory foam and if you’re old and broken like me it wasn’t great for your body. Took 2 days for our laundry to be done. Breakfast was sub par, if there was anything close we would’ve gone there instead.

The breakfast was nice option and we enjoyed the fresh fruits and smoothie (although was bit warm). The room was large and spacious and the entrance and view upstairs for breakfast was amazing.

The tv channel wasnt accesible or easy to watch and navigate. The door to the room was a struggle to open and lock every time as it was very stiff and very uncomfortable to access easily or close. We had no view or privacy if we opened the curtains, we could not open during the day as it was obvious- something to be mindful of to check if you wish to have a view.

we stayed in Bali for 3 weeks and this is one of the best villas/ hotels we stayed in -room was spacious - shower & bathroom was 20/10 -bed was comfy - wifi was good - aircon was very powerful - location was good not too far from town via taxi/ grab - staff were very helpful - breakfast was decent - surrounding area was peaceful

- you couldn’t log into Netflix but YouTube worked fine

Good value - you get what you pay for

Although the hotel is good value for money, just be aware of the below from our experience: * The photos could be slightly misleading. It was not as good as the photo presented. The hotel itself is very small and the pool feels like more of a water feature than an actual pool. *The view would have been lovely but was blocked by a telephone/electricity pole in the middle. * The balcony doors in our room weren't sealed properly so there are wide gaps around the sides so bugs and things can get in easily. Luckily there were a lot of mosquitos when we visited. * The hotel is close enough to the city centre but can be difficult for cars to get in and out of the drive way so we would walk to the main road instead just for ease. * The room will smell like pesticide/chemicals when you enter and it will be very off putting. But staff had said that they do routine clean up and that would be why. And the smell did go away by evening with the extractor fan on. (Same smell all over again though after room service..) * The pieces of paper they use to book breakfast and to register or even to take our survey in the room was wrinkly and greasy on the surface , so attention to detail with these kinds of things could be better. * The bath in our room was beautiful but the drain on the side of the bath was full of dirt and things so ended up giving me the heebie jeebies.

Nice comfortable stay and the room was way bigger and much nicer than expected.

The room is much larger than expected, its huge and so is the bathroom. The location was great, a quiet place. It is located amongst ricefields so not much happening around there. A little further down, many great restaurants can be found.

All was good, I could complain about the WiFi speed but Bali is slow for the most part.

Poor

The Villa was very lovely - very beautiful, especially the pool and the view. It was also far from the road, and therefore very quiet and peaceful.

First, a fairly minor issue: the hot water system was not good - over the 3 or 4 days that we were here, I had only 1 hot shower. Our biggest gripe with the place was the camera pointing at our supposedly "private pool". We never really felt relaxed here due to this. I asked an employee why there was a camera, and he said "it doesn't work, don't worry about it", but you could see the lights on the camera turn on at night, so that was a lie. Have attached a photo of the "not working" camera when it's lights clearly on. If it wasn't for this camera, we would have stayed here again for our next trip...

For the price paid, it could be much better

Room was large.

Before booking a room, I always read customer comments. That's what I did now. Unfortunately, the reality is different. The breakfast was the poorest possible: 2 fried eggs or omelette, a fresh that had a horrible taste and a coffee that you couldn't drink. If you wanted something extra, there was a charge. The cleanliness leaves much to be desired...seriously. There were places everywhere for lizards, mosquitoes and other creatures to enter your room. I recommend you to find another accommodation. It's not right.

Lovely little place to stay in Ubud

wow, what a beautiful place this was. We had a lovely three nights here and I’d definitely recommend it. comfortable beds, helpful staff,l who arranged an extra bed and scooter hire. the great little floating breakfast was fun and we had a lovely balcony. it was all very clean!

only a couple of minor points, hot water runs out quickly for running a bath so watch it! some body moisturiser would be good since there is a bath. a few more choices at breakfast would be nice….maybe pancake or a few more items to go with the eggs offered, and lastly the 3% charge to pay by currency debit card wasn’t great. I’m told it’s standard, but I didn’t have it at our last property here so I’m unsure.

Me and my family enjoyed our stay, good choices for us considering the affordable rate

Rooms and all facilities are spaciuos and clean. Staff are all excellent, ambiance is very peaceful and quiet, walking up everyday with the view of rice field. There some tables at the 2nd floor, internet are superb, location is good for me, 10 mins from ubud center. Room are make up daily, good breakfast choices and staff are all great. We definitely enjoy our stay in villa kirani, and we will stay in this property again if we comeback in bali.
