The Lovecroft Guest House

Fabulous place in a great location just off the NC500. Large comfortable rooms, great facilities - everything we needed and more. Steven and Janice were lovely - friendly, helpful and provided one of the best breakfasts. Would highly recommend.

The most beautiful B&B we stayed in on our trip. No tartan in sight but modern yet cozy design. The lovely house is set in an expansive colorful garden with a pond and hidden art pieces. The rooms are very spacious and full of light. A rarity these days is a huge bathtub in the big bathroom. The view from the room is all the way to the seas, spectacular opportunity for a great sunset if the rain will step aside. Breakfast options were many and cooked fresh to order. Take time to look at the extensive high quality art collection. Oils acrylics, graphics, and antiques. Each piece a gem. But most importantly, Steven, the host is the best human being ever. We punctured the tire on our car and limped into the yard in the evening. He immediately sprang into action. He brought his compressor to pump the tire and then found the puncture. But First he brought us two gin and tonics to give us courage and then started calling the ferry to change our next day booking to a later time. He reassured us that despite being fully booked next day he would find space for us if we couldn’t repair the car. In the morning he called the nearby repair shop to find out if they had our tire. Luckily they did and after a good breakfast we headed over to the shop where they quickly put a new tire on and we could continue on our trip. He really made a stressful situation much easier to bear. Thank you Steven.

Well signposted from the coast road. Super large room with windows on three sides. Warm and comfortable which matters even in June! Lovely garden.

We did not stay at the property as we found the accommodation too isolated. There was nowhere to eat or drink nearby & even though we had paid in advance we decided the property wasn’t right for us
