A wonderful week at The Meadow flat.
Peaceful location in Shanklin as well as being at the back of the property (metal stairs to reach the front door, as seen in the picture). Well presented accommodation with free good wifi. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, proper pint of milk, a selection of breakfast cereals, condiments, a bonus. A lovely little getaway for a couple, almost like home from home, with everything you need included. Easy access down to old Shanklin, just a 10 minute walk away. A perfect base to explore the rest of the i.o.w. from. Great that you get your own parking space, big enough for a small SUV with clearance to open your doors and boot, all at the same time. There is a great walk on your doorstep (see the view from the front room window) to the top of a hill in a field with a fabulous view over Shanklin towards Sundown and beyond. All in all, picking this property, you can't go far wrong, loved it (and reading the guest book so had many others before us). đź‘Ť
My husband found the bed, his words not mine, like sleeping on a brick. Yes, it's a hard mattress but I found it ok. No memory foam here. The shower from the bath taps is wonderfully powerful so be careful or you flood the bathroom. The toilet seat moves about, annoying.

Fabulous 2 week holiday on the beautiful Isle of Wight.
Nice quiet location but only 10 mins walk to the beach and 5 mins to pubs and shops. Comfortable and cosy for 2 people. Well equipped and perfect for a holiday stay. Good procedures in place to keep it Covid safe. A minor problem with the boiler was dealt with swiftly whilst we were out for the day - very good.
No outside space to sit and have a coffee or glass of wine in the evening. We had 2 weeks of beautiful weather but had to go out for morning coffee and evening drinks. The website shows a picture of a "shared" outside space with picnic table but this belongs to the neighbouring flat and the owners were using it every day for their breakfast and evening meals and BBQ's.
