Lovely house in a great location.

The actual house we thought was very nice. Well set out, everything we needed and in a great location, both in terms of the immediate setting within the old Shanklin Manor grounds, but also walking proximity to Shanklin beach, shops and old village. Lovely to also have a small back garden to sit in for breakfast.

Beds were not the most comfortable, but OK. Little gripe with the glass dining area table - the glass shelf below the table top makes it very difficult/almost impossible to sit on a chair with legs beneath the table. It doesn't seem to serve any purpose other than to drastically and needlessly restrict legroom. We did look to see if it was removable, but could not find a way. Kitchen tap needs repairing - it is loose and dripping.

Lovely location. Disappointed with the cleanliness especially when you are paying over £900.

The quiet location. Beds and towels. Equipment in kitchen- although some bowls/ plates were chipped.

Cleanliness. Broken chest of drawers. Food left in fridge and freezer. Fridge not cleaned out. At least 3 bulbs out in the lounge. Wonky and dripping kitchen tap. Pizza box left by the bin from previous guests. Floor not cleaned- food still under table. Cobwebs all around the house. Curtains not clean. Shower over bath leaks onto floor due to the state of the shower screen. Welcome book in a mess.

Perfect choice for us.

Warm, cosy modern new-feeling house built behind Shanklin Manor with parkland in front so ideal for dog. Quiet with good parking. A 10 minute walk into the old part of Shanklin and 15-20mins through park to the beach area. Very comfortable bed on top floor and nice en-suite. We had a problem with the TV the first night but messaged owners who replied. However we sorted it out the next day. Cooking facilities were good, fridge storage shelf was broken inside the door and as usual in all rental places we have stayed all of the kitchen knives were blunt but they are just minor observations. A good base for us to enjoy exploring Isle of Wight.

Excellent location. Spacious comfortable bedrooms/bathrooms. Hosts response to issues excellent. Grounds opposite great if you have a family to play games/dog walk.

Downstairs area could have been cleaner. Kitchen could do with a few more items if you were wanting to stay in and cook your own meals. Bit short on mugs/cups. Both sofas have seen better days, one seat was really very uncomfortable. We were very fortunate with the weather but had we not been it would have been a little cramped for six people downstairs. That said overall nice place, just leaving feedback to be helpful and we would go back there again.

Very good

It was spacious with 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms. Quiet location but close to village amenities. Towels were soft.

It could have done with blinds/curtains in the top floor bedroom as it was very light early in the morning. Blackout blinds would have been useful in all 3 bedrooms. We hung beach towels over the curtain poles to keep the room darker.
