Perfect for our family stay, hard to beat for location and value for money

There is so much to like about Summerhill Apartments! From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the host and they happily accommodated our slightly early arrival. We were shown around by the owner, who lives onsite, everything was explained and we were encouraged to get in touch if we needed anything. The apartment was well laid out with enough room for everyone and it was very clean and tidy. The kitchen was well equipped and contained everything needed for self catering, including a coffee machine with pods and a dishwasher with tablets, though no tea towels! The outside space was ample and secure if you had dogs and got the sun all afternoon. It included a charcoal Webber BBQ, picnic bench and a patio dining set. The TV worked well and the WiFi signal was also good. Location of the apartment was lovely and gave easy access to the beachfront carparks, just 2 mins by car and walkable too if you don't mind the short steep climb back home. For keen walkers is had great access to the coastal path, with the delightful pub and resaurant, The Hideaway, overlooking the sea just a 2 min walk away at the end of the road. Plenty of onsite parking and conveniently near lots of shops and take aways. The beaches at Shanklin are great and Sandown very accessible too. All accommodation is more expensive in the school holidays but this place was very competitively priced and good value for money.

Nothing really, just that the kitchen will probaly benefit from a refurb before too long and seating 6 around the table in the kitchen is a rather tight squeeze. Thankfully the weather was good and we either ate outside or in the livingroom on our laps as there was plenty of sofa space!

A good apartment that suited us very well.

Nice central location within a 10 minute walk to the beach and town centre. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The TV was modern and there was free WiFi. We enjoyed the outside seating area.

Not much but a slightly tricky manoeuvre required when the car park is busy. But additional parking just outside doesn’t make it impossible to get parked within the grounds.

Our stay that was for two nights was amazing and very welcoming. We throughly enjoyed it and will definitely be staying

It was very spacious especially for a one bedroom apartment. It had lots of storage for clothes and big bed-side tables. It had everything you need, for example, cooking utensils, hovers, cleaning supplies, big sofa, hair dryer. Things like this make all the difference as we ended up using everything provided. The hosts were amazing and exceptionally welcoming. I broke a wine glass and was reassured it wasn’t a problem and immediately offered to come clean up any wine spilt. (Luckily there wasn’t any).

The only slight issue we had was the water pressure in the shower and kitchen tap when on hot. This was not a big problem for us at all as it didn’t affect our stay.

Lovely quiet apartment with all necessary facilities for good price

Excellent apartment in a very good quiet location. Close to the beach (about 10 mins of leisury walk), the area itself is close to everything but quiet, very decent with expensive houses and villas around. Plenty of parking: we kept our car in and walked everywhere, returning for meals to the apartment. We stayed at the top floor apartment that is accessed via an external spiral staircase. Some people with mobility issues might find this difficult but it was fine with us. The apartment itself is compact but has everything for a comfortable stay: from a fully equipped kitchen (even has a coffee maker) to an ironing board and board games. Most importantly it was spotless clean! This is frequently an issue with many private hosts when you don't know if the bedding was washed before your arrival or not. Our apartment is obviously very well maintained, bedding was clean, kitchen and bathroom immaculate. Absolutely great for a family stay, and good value too. I will not hesitate to book again.

Great value for money, very cozy and spacious at the same time.

A gorgeous quiet property with a unique spiral staircase! The property was so spacious, and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, the shower provided hot water with a great shower pressure, and the living and kitchen areas were so cozy. This was a great property for a weekend away with family, and it was incredible value as well!

Perfect location, minutes walk from the beach, beautiful scenery

The accommodation was perfect👌 very clean with every need very much catered for with a well equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, cleaning products etc. spacious and comfortable 😊 We received a warm welcome from Tara & Richard with a mini guests gift of island biscuits, jam & water, a nice personal touch 🤍 Flexible check in on the day. Plenty of private off road car parking always a bonus! ⭐️

The hosts were very friendly and helpful before we arrived and when we arrived. The location was great and the kitchen and lounge was pretty well stocked and all linen was clean.

I think the property might benefit from some tlc. It's a little tired, and smells a bit musty/damp in certain parts. One of the single beds was very sunken and uncomfortable, the double creaked on every turn.

Great stay and location

We liked the location - a few mins from the coastal path and the great Hideaway pub/restaurant and a 10/15 min walk to the town. It had a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable living room area with a large sofa and we very much enjoyed the outside garden and seating area.

Everything you need, quiet location, very well presented little holiday apartment, plenty of space for 4 people, private little yard with table and chairs and bbq, very good communication from host,!

Nothing much but kitchen cupboards a little over stocked, pots, pans, plates, bowls, etc of almost every shape and size, more than needed for 4 people, leaving very little cupboard space for food items, (not a complaint just personal view)
