Excellent Static Caravan

Told us about a repaired leak but the floor outside the bedrooms was still very wet. Bedding was damp and pillows had mould on them. Whole caravan was pretty shoddy and had very basic equipment. Not impressed.

Location to club house and entrance/exit. A lovely little town with lift to the sea a 10 minute walk away.

Mould in the shower, floor feels like it's going to go through at any moment in different parts of the caravan. For what I paid I expected a quality caravan. The double bed was uncomfortable and lumpy.

Cleaning

Caravan was located very well to travel to lots of places of interest. Good flexibility in booking. Vendor was easy to contact.

Some cutlery and cooking items were left dirty (presumably previous tenants). Caravan is a little tired and in need of maintenance (door latch, window seals, damaged wallpaper), but still suitable for summer living.

The caravan was so close to everything.

we booked it for 6 people but there is not facilities for 6 people just 2 kids beds and one master bed and master bed mattress was worse

Such a clean caravan with some extra bits ( like washing up liquid, bath mat etc which make it stay super pleasant!

The property is in an excellent location on the Isle of Wight within a great distance to supermarkets which can be walked to and not far from old town Shanklin. The property was nice and warm with a good sized bathroom and living space.

The parking isn’t the best and is rather cramped due to cars getting bigger and spaces getting smaller. There wasn’t much room to manoeuvre. Upon talking to the reception desk enquiring into the leisure passes they informed us that the caravan had been overcrowded as there were 9 of us. I did explain that when searching the property came up suitable but they weren’t best pleased. When trying to wash up we discovered that the sink was blocked which was blocked the whole time we stayed. Reception informed us to contact the owner to which I sent an email and I didn’t hear anything back. We had to empty buckets from the washing up down the toilet. Yes there were 9 of us but considering the caravan sleeps up to 8 and reception informed me it was advertised for up to 10 people there wasn’t enough cutlery for us all to sit down and have a family meal together. The adults were having to wash cutlery up after the children just so they could eat. The pots and pans to cook with were just thrown in the cupboard and not very well stored. The master bed looked alright until you got in it. I nearly rolled off one side and my husband the other as it dips to either side when weight is put into it and it was really uncomfortable. When we left at the end of our stay all the beds were stripped to make it easy for the cleaner and I discovered rubbish in the bed near the top of the headboard which did lead me to wonder if the bed had been done before we turned up. I am still waiting for my deposit back and haven’t had any correspondence in relation to getting it back despite there being written that the deposit will be returned 3 days after vacating the property.

This caravan was obviously cherished once, but is very dated and could do with some tlc, and a good airing, as its very damp inside. It also could do with a deep clean as it was a bit grubby.

Caravan was not cleaned to a good standard. No mattress and pillow protectors. Strong smell of damp inside the caravan. Overhaul disappointing

Clean and comfortable caravan - loved the fact we didn’t have to worry about purchasing toilet rolls, kitchen rolls and cleaning equipment.

Not enough decent cutlery and def not enough for an 8 berth caravan - there were only 5 of us and we struggled to find decent metal ones. Some of the bedding was stained and mouldy - def needs replacing. It’s a dated caravan that with a bit of TLC could be a great find. Decor needs refreshing

Beds are not very large in caravans in general and carpets are less hygienic than other kinds of flooring

It served it's purpose for a cheap base for us to stay.

Unfortunately, the property smelt musty (likely due to no one being in with Covid), there were cobwebs with bugs in in the bathroom and we had to change one of the beds as the bedding had mildew on.

Location , the park was nice, and long days out, ,,🤣 plenty of places to visit good restaurants .

The caravan smelt, and was dirty, no shelves in cooker, leaking skylight in kitchen, faulty heaters, and dangerous especially for someone with children, ,, on inspection the underneath of the caravan had several supports missing,, which I rectified myself, as one corner was completely unsupported. ! The ramp and pvc ballustrading was covered in algae, and I feel quite upset that I have paid all this money to someone who obviously has no conscience. The skylights had cobwebs with hosts in them. The mattress was lumpy, you could feel the spring's. . I'm not one to complain, but this affected our holiday, and would only be fair to have half our monies refunded. Also on first contact was asked if we wanted to pay through himself rather than booking .com, as he could offer the property 50.00 cheaper!. The alarm bells started ringing before we even got there. Appalling.
