Loved it! The view is priceless when you come from city living.

The view and sunrise were my favourite aspects of our stay. We really wanted a peaceful, serene view of the sea which we had from our particular room. The room was super lovely, clean, modern, fresh and spacious. Loved the electric blankets!! And the room was heated but not stuffy, which many hotels are. A great sleep and I made a nice cup of coffee early morning and watched the sunrise from just outside our door. Check in was simple and the owner was fantastically calm, helpful and accommodating, as I traveled with small children. Parking was easy. Very quiet yet close enough to the village. I would definitely stay here again. I felt the place was a gem and even nicer in real life than the pictures so that was a lovely surprise.

Property had it all, 5-10 min walk to town depending how fast of a walker you are, amazing view of the water and carlingford area, rooms have everything

Only downside is it was cold sometimes as there is no self controlled thermostat however wasn’t cold enough to worry about, room was warm for 90% of our stay

Excellent Stay.

The owner Paul, an absolute gentleman full of local knowledge and ready to help at any moment. The room was comfortable, Paul even got us two electric blankets to keep us warm, tea & coffee,milk and sugar in the room.The shower....... awesome good strong flow of hot water. The view was great. 5 min walk on the high road to the town.

Unfortunately we wanted to hike but the weather wasn't great, unfortunately not even Paul (the owner)could fix that, tho I am sure had we asked he would've tried.

A little piece of Heaven

The property is in an ideal location. Paul was very welcoming , he had the heating on and the electric blanket !! Absolute bliss!!! Also Paul’s recommendation for dinner was super . The views from the property is incredible and we will visit again

Loved the lodges , your own private door , stunning location looking out at the sea . So warm and cosy . Spotless . Here for 2 days for a wedding. Paul so kindly drove us to collect our car the following day . Absolutely fab couldn’t recommended more .

Overall if you place your expectations on a Travelodge you won’t be disappointed

Well located and parking onsite. Motel style so no long corridors to navigate. Heated blanket for winter stay was a nice touch and in room amenities basic but better than I expected.

The shower was a bit primitive but did the job. The slidy door entrance did make me think about security of my items as all was on show.

Warm cosy and beautiful views

This place was brilliant the views the just everything was great. Was very clean and every little detail thought of. After coming from a wedding we got into a warm cosy bed where they had set an electric blanket it was heaven!

Location is excellent. It is right across the road from the Marina. Beautiful view. Our room was clean and comfortable. Paul even gave us a lift into town. Nice 10 minute walk into centre.

I enjoyed the Wildwood Lodge from the warm welcome to the hospitality of Carlingford and a great place to stay

The Wildwood Lodge has fantastic views down to the Harbour and right across to the North of Ireland The whole complex tells you that the Lodge is well kept and Clean. When you enter your room it has everything you need to have a great relaxing stay The small fridge was a massive bonus The room was cleaned to within an inch of its life All in All this Complex with great hosts is great value for money and is only 10 minutes walk from the town centre.

My stay at Wildwood in Carlingford was excellent. From the moment we arrived, I was impressed by the incredible value for money. The location perfect, just a short, walk from the town centre. The views were fab overlooking the lough and mountains. I also loved the easy access to the Greenway,. The room was lovely, and clean. Wildwood is a great spot for a stay in Carlingford.

Disappointing :(

The hair drier worked. Carlingford was lovely but full of party goers so was rowdy and not what we had expected.

What a pity - location was lovely, the furniture in the room was good but everything else fell short: - the bed linen was not clean on one of the beds - cobwebs everywhere - including in the lampshades - rusty hardware - containers labelled shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the shower were completely empty - plug on kettle with exposed wires - adapter plug stuck in socket (before our arrival) and unable to remove - window in bathroom wouldn’t close properly - no hot water, seriously no hot water (could be described as lukewarm at a push)

When we arrived there was a bit of confusion as our name was not listed against any chalet number.

I was told in advance that it was bed only. So I was happy to see tea/coffee facility available in the room. The owner kindly brought over a jug of fresh milk.

Couldn't find the soap in the room. However, the owner pointed out later that it was on a high shelf in the shower. Recommend that a bar of soap be left on the sink itself.

The owner was really friendly and helpful, the room was clean and decorated beautifully, very calming environment with candles etc. on arrival. Great facilities with mini fridge etc. and a lovely comfortable sleep. Loved the views over the water and a close walk into town (10-15mins).
