The Barn Courtyard

Great to be next to the pub .. we were out there with friends for dinner so it was perfect to stop over The bed was very comfortable and the crisp white bed linen was really nice

I was a bit disappointed with cleanliness in other areas bits on the floor.. (I guess they could have blown in the door) .. the bathroom was smelly on arrival .. no extraction and there were huge cobwebs hanging across the ceiling from the wall to the lampshade in the ceiling above the bed .. the bathroom bin was not empty.. and some attention is needed on the sink plug and shower wobbling like it might fall off the wall .. the water was nice and hot at least!

Arrived to find we had been upgraded to one of the larger rooms upstairs, lovely gesture and very much appreciated! Room was spacious, cosy & extremely clean! Great bathroom! Tea/coffee machine/water provided as well as a handy menu for the pub too. Added bonus of mini fridge in the room was great. Plenty of parking, easy check in/out. Would highly recommend & will definitely stay again in the future!

Great location not far from M1 junction with comfortable accommodation. Every member of staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast and dinner was very good and exceeded my expectations.

Although the whole experience was very good, the only thing I can think of to move from a 8/10 to a 10/10 would be to reduce the late night noise from the road. Although the accomodation building is set back from the road the door is not a perfect fit so does let some noise through.

Excellent again, we were return visitors. The meal in The Horse was outstanding and the breakfast excellent. The location was great for us visiting the area.

Very handy for where I was working, which is why I booked it, plenty of parking, which is always a bonus. The bed was comfy, there was a coffee machine as well as a fridge in the room, which was a nice surprise.

This isn't a complaint, just an observation. There's no towel holder near the sink in the bathroom so you drip water over the floor when walking to get the towel. Not a biggy, but just unusual.

The staff at the Barn were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make me and ny daughter welcome. We really appreciated it after a long drive on a hot day. The food was excellent and clearly freshly made. Menu was interesting with good range of choices.

Clean and comfortable although the room was compact size it had everything we needed for overnight stay. Breakfast was excellent and worth including. Friendly staff. Easy access into Loughborough. Would highly recommend.

Amazing gem of a place to stay. Lovely rooms with everything you need while staying away especially having the fridge in the room. Ample parking right outside the property. Location is perfect check out the Whitwick fryer for the best fish and chips.

Went to have a dinner at the restaurant and it was a theme night but the main menu wasnt available so found a lovely chippy down the road.

Location was perfect, easy access to the M1. Room was lovely and great that it had the pub on site too. Had dinner on arrival and it was delicious, wood fired pizza was delicious. Added bonus was Lisa who served us, fantastic person who went the extra mile to welcome us. Breakfast was next level, best Eggs Royale I’ve had. Will be visiting again and would very highly recommend staying to you all.

The walls to the room were pretty thin and could hear the guests upstairs and to the side. But this wouldn’t stop us staying again.

Perfect place to stay for our daughters graduation from L’boro! They kindly allowed us into the room early to change. Everything was perfect. Breakfast was superb. 100% recommend. Great pub too.

I would recommend The Barn Courtyard to anyone that asked. It's a small, but practical room, super clean, very comfy bed and great water pressure. The biggest perk is that it is attached to The Horse pub which serves a fantastic menu. The food was 10/10 and you'd struggle to find a better quality meal for that price point. Breakfast was also included in the price and again, the food (and lovely service) was phenomenal. Extremely well run establishment.

Easy parking, nice location, pub with good food, really good breakfast. Staff were really nice. The overhead rain shower was amazing!!

Walls are very thin, could hear next door talking easy unless they were just very loud. The door has a little window. Could do with a small curtain or shutter, as in the summer months the room was very light from 5am and being a light sleeper it woke me up.

The property was in a quiet semi-rural location close to the Donington Race Track and the East Midlands Airport. I was attending Donington and travel to and from Castle Donington was easy with little traffic. The staff were welcoming and there was dedicated parking. The room was comfortable with very good facilities for tea and coffee making. There was a small fridge so drinks, milk etc could be kept cool. The bathroom was very clean with toiletries and a good selection of towels provided. The breakfast in the adjacent pub/restaurant was cooked to order and was delicious. I also used the restaurant on the 2 evenings I stayed and found the menu was varied and the quality of food and the service was excellent.

My only issue is that the walls/floors are quite thin and it’s possible to hear the TV/people talking in adjacent rooms. It’s a minor point as my fellow guests were generally quiet, but it could make for disrupted sleep if anyone was getting up especially early to get to the airport etc. interestingly I didn’t notice any significant noise from the adjacent pub/restaurant later in the evenings.

Excellent breakfast. Great choice. One of the best breakfasts I have had.
