Does the job for a stay after a night out

Good location Good bar/restaurant facilities Bed comfortable Staff very good and helpful but seemed rushed off their feet so we were kept waiting (not their fault as all lovely)

Comfortable, friendly and welcoming

The room was simple but clean, warm and comfortable. It was well enough equipped for an affordable room. It included an iron and ironing board, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. The only quirk was that the room was set up for one person, so one bath towel, glass and mug. This was rectified when we asked at reception. We met our family for dinner in the pub and had a really lovely meal. It was a table of 6 and all of our food was generous, hot and tasty. We were served by Kevin who was friendly, efficient and professional. He brought some of our drinks to the table when our food arrived so we didn't have to get up again, which was appreciated. At breakfast we were served by Deborah who was also friendly and efficient. Our breakfast was hot, plentiful and tasty. For a simple stay with nice food and service we would recommend The Charnwood Arms.

Housekeeping was spot on, location was good too

Heating wasn't great - one radiator hot to touch but room not that warm. Whilst clean, tidy and functional the room could have done with a refresh of paint on the lower walls.

Would stay again, perfect for visiting Loughborough and good value for money

Room was just as expected, as we have stayed before. It is nice to be able to park right outside and each room is it's own little chalet rather than lots of rooms off corridors. It does make it quieter and just nicer. The room is a bedroom with a desk, and bathroom. Plenty of space to hang clothes and shelves for things. Not the brightest lights but was fine for us. Radiators we could turn up or down which is great. Staff were all lovely and welcoming and friendly

Wasn't the cleanest - sheets, towels etc were absolutely fine just cobwebs and grimy in a few places. Not a major issue, but for example, putting the towel on the radiator to dry rather than having a new one, and the radiator was pretty grimy. Food in the evening was great, but we ordered cooked breakfast on the second day and it was unfortunately cold and rather unappetising. There were lots of people in that morning, so I think it was a blip rather than being like that all the time

we attended for an event in the function room, we ate in the restaurant before the event, the food was served quickly and was of a good standard, the hotel rooms were a pleasant surprise, very comfortable and very good value for money

It’s a comfortable, convenient place to stay to be local to Loughborough

The chalet rooms are great when staying with a dog as it’s easy to go in and out without disturbing people and being disturbed.

It is a little tired looking in places but it’s good value for money

The service was very bad waited 20 mins to book in, to be given a twin room when I booked a double, so room changed, waited 30 mins for breakfast and still not taken order, cups and plates after washing were in tray on the floor, no pastries

We didn't have time for Breakfast the room was spacious very comfortable bed clean and warm extra pillows bathroom was very clean all staff very friendly, evening meal was good value for money,location was just over 3 miles from my place to travel to Markham would recommend the day we arrived the had wedding reception on looks good when you book in at reception desk you used the ipad on desk to enter your car registration also using car park must park between lines, if you don`t enter car details you would be charged £100 fine there are plenty of signs so you do know we had a very enjoyable time very friendly people eating in

the staff were all very friendly, the room was very nice.

the breakfast we had was awful, it was lukewarm, the bacon tasted weird and I bit into one of the sausages and something was hard inside and it hurt my tooth like a piece of fat, we couldn't inform the staff because we had a 4 hour drive so we had to get going. the mega breakfast is what we ordered. the lights were a bit dim in the room (35)
