Nice stay, cozy and comfortable

A quiet and cosy little gite in a very good location to explore Amboise on foot.

It was a charming little place to stay, very quiet, private and peaceful in a green residential area but only ten minutes walk down the hill to the town centre. Plenty of space to park on the road outside or on the drive inside the garden gate. the two gites and garden are completely fenced off from owner's house. The kitchen was extremely well kitted out, and we enjoyed our stay very much, especially sitting in the conservatory for breakfast with a view over the garden and watching a red squirrel eating nuts off the tree outside the window.

There were no instructions as to how to get the key and how to get into the property. We rang the bell two or three times outside the gate of the main house where the owner lived. Eventually when there was no answer I opened the gate and went into the garden, and two little barking dogs came running and the owner leant out of the window and shouted that we should go out of the gate again. Not the best welcome. She then came out and showed us into the gite. She told us to just leave the key in the door at the end of our stay. The other thing which was far from ideal was that the bedroom was extremely pokey in that you had to duck under a very low beam to get in to it from the ladder staircase. There was a double bed in it, but the person on one side couldn't sit up in bed easily because of an exceedingly low beam and ceiling. Anyone who is tall or not agile couldn't sleep up there.

As a camping spot- Lacking of basics like paper towels, coffee , shower gel, soap, garbage bags, toilet paper, washing machine. The staircase to the bed upstairs is very difficult to access, and the ceiling above the bed is extremely low.

Excellent Stay

It was PARFAIT !!!!!! The accomodation was situated perfectly in the region of Amboise to allow for visiting many historical places surrounding the region itself. A private and secure garden allows for visitors to really relax and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the neighbourhood. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and kind making it even more wonderful. If you have children and want the space and security for them then is the perfect place to stay. A short walk into a quaint little town where you can enjoy many French delights including the Chateau Royal D'Amboise which sits beautifully above the Loire Valley. I can't wait to go back !!!!!

Overall it was a pleasant experience but the steep stairs need to be disclosed in the description.

Idéal pour un court séjour (quatre jours dans notre cas) ; parfait aussi pour un plus long séjour.

Le gîte Mona & Lisa est une VRAIE très agréable surprise ! Un lieu qui invite à la déconnexion totale, au calme et au lâcher-prise. Qui veut du calme le trouvera. Qui veut profiter d'un temps de lecture dans un hamac, d'un barbecue en toute sécurité, d'un apéro en plein air le pourra. Avec en prime la compagnie d'un petit écureuil fripon ! Nous n'avons que de positif à signaler ! Idéalement situé à environ 800 mètres d'Amboise, nous avons pu nous rendre au centre à pied, faire plein de visites et profiter du marché nocturne en rentrant. Pour un court séjour, si l'on ne veut pas faire trop de kilomètres, c'est idéal. Le gîte est parfaitement équipé, rien ne nous a manqué. Nos hôtes ont été présentes et discrètes à la fois. Que du positif on vous dit ! :-))

Très bon emplacement, proche centre ville. Au calme . Équipement standard d'un logement dédié à la location. Propre et bien équipé

Escalier menant à la mezzanine très raide et périlleux en descente. Chambre très inconfortable en raison du plafond très bas d'un côté et de la poutre. Nous avons finalement dormi sur le canapé en bas.

Proximité centre ville. Calme. Véranda avec rideau et logement avec volets. Couchages corrects. Logement propre. Bouilloire inox, cafetière, grille pain, vaisselle en quantité.

Douche petite 50x50. Hauteur étage très basse, escalier raide. Casseroles avec revêtement anti adhésif, aurait préféré en inox (plus sain et plus durable).

Posizione non proprio vicinissima al centro città e castello. Poca chiarezza delle indicazioni circa l'ubicazione dell'ingresso alla struttura. Letto matrimoniale su soppalco di non agevole accesso a causa di una scaletta e dell'altezza del soffitto.

Parfait pour un séjour en famille

Le calme, le côté aussi chaleureux de l'appartement que de sa propriétaire, la facilité pour récupérer ou laisser les clefs, le fait d'avoir installé une balançoire/toboggan pour les enfants, idéale pour les occuper lors des moments creux, l'emplacement stratégique dans la région mais aussi dans la ville dont on peut aisément rejoindre le centre historique à pied.

Hôtes flexibles, hébergement propre et bien équipé, calme absolu. La cour intérieure est un plus pour le rangement des vélos.

Wer ab ca. 28 c Raumtemperatur schlafen kann, fühlt sich hier wohl. Da helfen auch die zur Verfügung gestellten Ventilatoren nichts. Eine steile Treppe oder besser Leiter führt zu den unter dem Dach befindlichen Betten. Dort ist stehen unmöglich.

L’accès à la mezzanine (lit principal) et sa hauteur sous plafond (1,30 mètres environ au maximum). Malgré le ventilateur, il fait très vite chaud surtout sous la véranda.
