Super riverside location

Beautifully clean apartment in a great location. Bathrooms especially good, plenty of hot water. Really loved the balcony, a lovely sunny spot for lunch. Kitchen appeared really well equipped although we only used the kettle! Loads of fantastic eating options only minutes away. As we were a little out of season, it was super quiet with all the apartments around us empty, so that was a bonus. Fresh flowers and some great snacks and bubbly were also much appreciated.

We found the televisions a little confusing as they were all smart but watching tv wasn't our priority. Detailed instructions were left should you want to use them.

Arrived to a very friendly welcome and the owner was always quick to answer any questions. Gorgeous flat with an amazing massive balcony overlooking the river. Right round the corner from the main town and the many bars and restaurants. We were supplied with bath robes, slippers (lovely touch) soap, shampoo and conditioner. Complimentary prosecco, strawberries, tea, coffee, biscuits, milk etc. Fully equipped kitchen. Lovely showers and bath. Everything you needed was there. We absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to return!

We booked as we were getting married in Durham City Centre and wanted additional space to get ready. The apartment was everything we needed and more. Central location, parking space, comfy beds and stylish space. Great outdoor area. James was amazing and provided an amazing hamper and was so accomodating with the make up, hair and photographer attending during the day-arranging that they could park in the car park.

Brilliant stay

James was really helpful and knowledgeable. it was a great couple of days. He recommended an Italian restaurant (Bistro Italiano) and it was fantastic. The apartment is luxurious with everything you need. There was a really nice welcome pack and bottle of wine. Can not recommend this place highly enough.

A pleasant stay in a great apartment.

Riverside Retreat is an extremely, well appointment apartment, a short walk from the centre of Durham. It's a little bit of luxury. Also being greeted with a small hamper and a bottle of wine on arrival is a great touch. James is a very pleasant host.

Well equipped apartment with a lovely welcome pack. What a surprise to have Prosecco and strawberries. Location is great. Very quiet. If visiting would definitely stay here. couldn’t be better. Perfect for 4 people.
