Beautiful location with a clean room and balcony!

The location was great! It was easy to get to Salzburg as well as Berchtesgaden :) The Salt Mine was only a 4 minute drive away. The room was clean. There was a balcony. The breakfast was great. Lots of rolls, veggies, fruit, meat, and cheese. There is a fridge and a microwave you can use in the basement.

The time of our lives.

Just returned to Nebraska from spending 5 nights at the Pension Meisl. My wife and I went for our 30th wedding anniversary. We had the time of our lives! What a great place to stay. Clean, spotless rooms, the traditional German breakfast was outstanding. Beds are comfortable, and the little deck our our room looked out to the country side and also could see the Eagles Nest. It is located just outside Berchtesgaden, and a short 40 minute drive to Salzburg Austria. 5 minute walk to the Austrian boarder. Parking right on site, (this is a big deal in this area). You are out in the beautiful country side. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Also priced very reasonable. Auf Wiedersehen!!

Everything was amazing!

The location is amazing - out in the country but only a 10 minute drive into Berchtesgaden with panoramic views of the mountains from our balcony. Pension Meisl is absolutely beautiful, everything is spotlessly clean, wonderful breakfast buffet in the mornings. Three of us shared a two bedroom suite. The rooms are very spacious and beautiful with very comfortable beds and a large balcony overlooking the mountains. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. Pension Meisl offers a community refrigerator, microwave, silverware, plates etc. for everyone to use. Super convenient. Frau Meisl is the heart and soul of the house. She is always engaged with her guests and goes all out to help with travel information, extra towels, coffee etc. Highly recommend!!! We will definitely be back! Frau Meisl, vielen herzlichen Dank für die liebevolle Fürsorge!!!

Fabulous… simply fabulous.

Prettier than the pictures. We kept waiting to run into Julie Andrews😎 Staff was so friendly. Place was meticulous. Very quiet and simply felt special. Convenient to towns on either side of mountain. Stay here…you will love it.

We loved staying at Pension Meisl! Mrs. Meisl was a delightful host. So pleasant and helpful. The pension was in a quiet and beautiful location convenient to Bertchesgaden and Salzburg. The breakfasts were great. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay

Great view from the balcony, absolutely clean, good facilities, very nice hostess and decent breakfast buffet, which is really helpful because the accommodation 12 driving minutes is out of town. At the accommodation we also received a "guest card - Gästekarte" of the area which grants small discounts on entry fees, free busses and most importantly cheap PARKING on all communal parking spots for tourist attractions. We recommend the parkster app for mobile phones. Very flexible and accepts the guest card too.

Little bit pricy for our taste but probably still normal for the area. The mattresses were quite soft, so one sinks in a quite a lot.

A great place to stay!

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and were so happy with our accommodation! This is a family run place and they take extra care to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are exceptionally clean and all the rooms have great balconies with a beautiful view of the mountains. Every morning there’s a lovely German breakfast included. We enjoyed the location as it is close enough to Salzburg and also only a few minutes to the center of Berchtesgaden. The area is quite and relaxing, you can even hear the cows in fields. We would definitely stay here again!

Best stay in Germany :) great breakfast, cosy clean cottage in the middle of nature. Fascinating views, sunrise, sunset, night sky were all mindblowing. Fresh air, silence... 200m from austrian borders. I will definitely return one day!

Majoitus paikka oli ihanan rauhallinen. Juuri meidän matkaamme sopiva. Rakastamme liikkua päivällä ja yöt nukkua. Emme tarvitse juhlintaa. Vaan luontoa. Rauhaa ja hiljaisuutta. Kauneutta. Tämä paikka on juuri sellaista varten!Palautumiseen myös seuraavan päivän retkiä varten. Majoituspaikka oli todella siisti ja puhdas. Aamiainen oli kattava ja herkullinen. Ihania juustoja. Gluteenitonta vaihtoehtoa. Marjoja. Hedelmiä yms. Kaikkea tarvittavaa. Upeat näköalat. Majoituspaikan henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Vuoteet olivat isot ja hyvät. Koko herttainen majatalo oli todella siisti. Arvostimme tätä. Pitkien retki ja päivän aktiviteettien jälkeen huoneistoon oli hyvä levähtää. Aivan ihana paikka. Hienoa oli myös se, että tämä sijaitsee ihan Itävallan rajalla. Tämä paikka vei sydämen. Tänne vielä palaamme.

Die Lage ist etwas ausserhalb kurz vor der Grenze zu Oesterreich Das Frühstück war sehr gut, jeden Morgen gab es ein Frühstücksei mit einem gestrickten oder gehäkelten Mützchen Die Wirtin war sehr nett und hat uns Tipps zu Unternehmungen gegeben Besonders hat uns gefallen, dass wir den Frühstücksraum auch abends zum Aufenthalt nutzen konnten und im Keller war eine Küche mit Gläsern und Geschirr und ein Kühlschrank für die Gäste

Was geweldig.

Het ontbijt was geweldig en zeer uitgebreid. We konden alle etenswaren en drinken in de kelder aanwezige koelkast zetten, ook de koelelementen in kunnen vriezen Top geregeld. Ook de droogkamer was een uitkomst voor natte kleren. De gastvrijheid was geweldig niks was te veel.

Het enige wat tegen viel was de Wifi verbinding dat was een drama daar zouden ze wel wat aan kunnen verbeteren.

Loc linistit, peisaj superb, Cuibul Vulturilui vazandu-se in varful muntelui. Micul dejun mai mult decat indestulator, cu bucate alese, pregatite cu grija. Cafea la discretie. Camere ingrijite in care se face curatenie zilnic. Desi este situata la cativa kilometri de localitate datorita rezervarii am beneficiat gratuit de transportul local si s-au aplicat reduceri la anumite locatii vizitate - transport pe cablu, intrari la muzee, etc. 20 min cu masina pana la Salzbug.

Gemütliche und familiäre Frühstückspension

Sehr schöne, ruhige Umgebung und nette süße Pension mit schönen Zimmern und sehr freundlicher Herbergsfamilie. Erfüllt alle Anforderungen an eine Frühstückspension. Wir würden wiederkommen und können die Pension uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Im Keller ist ein Gästekühlschrank und eine Mikrowelle, die man nutzen kann oder man geht im Gasthaus direkt gegenüber Abendbrot essen.

Ich persönlich hätte mich über etwas mehr Variationen beim Frühstück gefreut, aber das ist wohl wie vieles Geschmackssache.
