Location, location, location - perfect!

This property is in a wonderful location in the centre of the historic town of Amboise. We were able to walk to the Chateaux in Amboise, the shops, the cafes and restaurants, to the river, the market and all other main attractions. The property has secure parking and a sheltered, private courtyard to sit out in. The property has a spacious kitchen and is very well equipped. The owner was available if we had needed anything.

It was hot during our holiday and the upstairs of the property gets very hot. The owner kindly left us a fan and we could have slept on the sofa bed downstairs. We also found the upstairs floors and stairs very noisy, whilst it wasn't really a major problem for us, if people move around at night this could disturb others' sleep.

Good location for access to Amboise , and the private parking

Rooms upstairs far too hot to sleep. Toilet very small and the shower lacks Privacy when 4 adults staying as the door didn't close.. The sewage smell was overpowering at times too.

Absolutely phenomenal, would stay here again and again!

Wow, where do I start. We had the most incredible stay here!! Right from the beginning Marion was so accommodating, we arrived a little early in Amboise and she allowed us to enter the property an hour early as it was ready. It is in the heart of Amboise, walking distance to everywhere in the town. It is a beautiful little townhouse that was perfect for our family of 4. We loved sitting on the terrace, sipping on local wine and feasting on treats from the local boulangeries. We based ourselves here and did day trips to the nearby Chateaux - a fantastic place to base yourself for a Loire Valley adventure. We wish we could have stayed longer. When we come back, we’ll come back to stay here! Thank you Marion 😄

The floor upstairs is a little creaky, but it’s an old building and to be expected. It didn’t affect our stay though 😊

Location, Location, Value, Location

Lovely quiet street in downtown Amboise. Walking distance from everything we needed. Cute courtyard outside the apartment. Nice kitchen with all appliances and kitchenware that we needed. Great communication with the owner, but they also gave us our privacy which was nice. Property well maintained. Great value for the amenities and location.

We knew going in there was only one toilet and one shower, but it was a little harder to juggle for 4 women than we anticipated.

An enjoyable stay in Amboise

Good communication from the proprietor, who we did not meet, but who sent very clear instructions. Excellent location close to shops, restaurants and the castle, but in a quiet street with off street parking, where you can leave the car for your whole stay, as you won't need it unless you leave town. Very clean inside, well equipped. 2 spacious bedrooms upstairs. The terrace was a bonus during the evening.

The layout was not ideal. Both the toilet and shower room are downstairs. The separate toilet (off the kitchen) was very small, and though the shower was good, the shower room (off the living area) was also very small. Entry into the yard (where the parking space is) is a bit tricky with a large car, but I'm sure it would get easier with practice!

- Location was fantastic and within walking distance to the main city sights - house was clean, well equipped and newly renovated - toys were provided - gifts were left for the kids on arrival with champagne which was a nice and unique touch, and much appreciated - new appliances - cosy and comfortable - the book with information about the house and places to visit was really helpful

- toilet was a little too small, and as the door opened to the kitchen was a little awkward. - bathroom was small, so it was hard to shower and get ready in there. It's easier to shower, then go upstairs to change. - no dryer, so as we stayed four nights, and have two kids, it was frustrating to spend time trying to find space on heating vents to dry stuff. Space was limited, but it would have just been a nice extra

Overall this is a well-kept property in an amazing location.

We loved the location and cleanliness and also the safe private parking space. We also very much appreciated the champagne and coffee etc.

Toilet room and bathroom were extremely small with little counter space! Some very loud creaking and banging noises both nights from (we assume) the next door neighbor’s property which unfortunately kept us awake =(

Expérience plutôt décevante.

La situation très centrale en ville. Le logement est clair, décoré avec soin, propre, disposant d’une bonne literie.

A noter qu’il s’agit de 2 chambres mansardées (fenêtres de toit), aménagées avec un parquet flottant très bruyant, dérangeant les personnes au rez de chaussée. Espace des toilettes particulièrement exigu (Grandes jambes s’abstenir). Frigidaire également bruyant. Odeur désagréable dans la douche obligeant à maintenir fermée la bonde, comme recommandé sur une affichette. Absence de signalisation claire du logement à l’intérieur de la cour commune, conduisant à déranger des voisins se montrant cependant très aimables et compréhensifs!
