This Hampton Inn was a big dissapointment.

The free breakfast was good

To begin with, the weather was cold - in the 40's. I'm almost 79 and in a lightweight wheelchair. My wife is 77 with back problems. Upon arrival we were assigned to room 315. We unloaded a "cart load" of our gear. We soon learned that the HVAC equipment was not working properly. We called the front desk and they re-assigned us to room 316 (across the hall). Without a cart, we moved everything to the next room. There we found the same issues with the HVAC. The room was cold, but we decided to not change again, as moving everything was too much trouble. We slept in our clothes, under the covers. It was cold and uncomfortable.. The next morning we skipped the shower - too cold. It appeared that the HVAC units were relatively new and had power. None of the relatively simple controls would activate any HVAC activity.

Hampton Inn is always the best choice for a stay, even when life throws you a major curveball.

Everything! Staff, rooms, food and shower were excellent. We have stayed at other Hilton’s and Hampton Inn by far is the best! We never have issues that are so bad it would ruin our stay. Our family decided that even if pricing is a bit higher than other places, Hampton Inn will be our only place we stay when traveling or just needing a weekend away from home. Thank you to everyone that works here, y’all have been just amazing and never rude or condescending. Keep up the excellent hospitality!!

The only thing we had a minor issue with is the TV & its connection. So silly to even mention but it happened in both rooms. The tv’s glitched a lot and when it did the auto off there was no way to cancel. Again the tv is so minor this is still a 5 star review.

Worst hotel room ever .

HORRRIBLE!!!! BUGS! It stunk , their was bed bugs and bugs in the walls. I went to the front desk and she brought me two cans of RAID!!! And I had my 2 year old and 5 months old traveling with me. I told her I wasn’t going to be spraying that in my hotel room with my kids. They offered me no help it was disrespectful and disgusting!!!!! Worst hotel room ever. And did I mention I paid 320$?!!!!!!! Rediculous! Absolutely outrageous and highway robbery.

Nice and clean, beds were very comfortable. Nice view of the water from our room.

Minus Marie, the staff sat in the lobby on their phones like guests would. They were quick enough to help when needed but didn't know they actually worked there. Breakfast was meh, but it was free so can't complain.

I thought the staff was wonderful, the breakfast was great, and the overall comfort of the room was good. I also enjoyed the fact that I was able to extend my stay and it wasn't a big deal.

I was disappointed in the bathroom -lol- I know it might sound silly, but when I travel I like to be able to take a nice shower just the same as at home. It is annoying when the shower head DOESN'T Work! No water pressure! I also was unhappy Bout the "Free, not free", wifi".... 🤔 My fridge wasn't working even on a sub-par level.

Quality fitout, poorly executed

Good bathroom size. We asked to move rooms on arrival as first room was very musty. We were moved quickly. Breakfast good variety and included in price. Using disposable plates and cutlery. No way to separate for recycling which was disappointing. Car parking well lit. Close to Houston Space Centre and good eateries. (Try Viola & Agnes' just down the road-amazing!)

Water pressure poor. We were not the only guests who raised this with the hotel. Lighting in room not sufficient. Only 2 bedside lamps in a room that has 2x queen beds. One small desk lamp. No main room lights other than entrance We asked to move rooms on arrival as first room was very musty. We were moved quickly. Next Room was OK but air conditioning wasn't efficient for clearing the air which may impact musty smell. Wifi unavailable. We were told that someone was working on it. Felt like it had been down a while. Wifi doesn't take days to fix. We were there 3 days & no indication of it being fixed. Some staff struggled to communicate any information at check-in.

The location is excellent to visit Lakewood Yacht Club for the annual Keels and Wheels Event.

Breakfast was fine, just as expected. Everything was clean, cleaning service in the morning was good. I asked for a quiet room with a view, and they gave me that, so I appreciated that.

The ice machine on the third floor was broken, so I had to go to the second floor. The ice bucket doesn't keep the ice from melting, so I had to make multiple trips. For some reason, the digital key didn't work in the app. I used the digital key in the app at another location just last week. The front desk staff were not interested in assisting. Coffee pods in the room taste terrible and the powdered creamer didn't dissolve into the coffee. Weird.

Good location near space centre. Nice breakfast, free parking, large room, comfortable bed. Clean and quiet. Lovely free and hot coffee and fruit in reception.
