The staff was less than accommodating. We were hurrying to pack up after being at a big wedding and someone kept banging on our door and yelling that we needed to check out. No one over stays at a hotel on purpose and they obviously had a ton of rooms available, I didn't see the need to be so rude.

Location was perfect and the rooms are really nice. I appreciate that the rooms are cleaned daily. There are some hotels that don't clean up the room everyday. Housekeeping is done daily. Friendly staff.

I didn’t stay @ the property once I definitely saw the bugs crawling after returning from my dinner cruise 7-10:30 . I a

The property was close to that Kemah Cruise Boat for my cruise that took place @ 7 pm and I arrived to the property@ 6:30 or so.

Immediately we walk in the door of the hotel there is a foul smell like I couldn’t explain. I asked the front desk to come see. She tried spraying but it was not leaving. I was in a rush for my dinner cruise. Mind you this is for my 40th birthday.

Briefly......this owner will go out of business because mgt and owners are incompetent.

Breakfast was done by an incompetent individual. There was no doubt that the owner hired the cheapest indian folks he could get. The food was so bad only the fresh fruit, milk etc was useable. The hotel had a terrible smell, which I assume was although renovated, they couldn't mask previous flooding and we were on second floor. They REFUSED to allow us to stay on first floor, when the hotel was only 20% full.

Lastly, there was NO instruction to operate the TV. I had the person on desk come twice just to see anything. After she explained how it worked (satellite) I suggested she write down this brief tutor for other guests. She didn't and wasn't interested.

It's cheap in price for a reason

Location is close to kemah.

The place needs some major renovations, when I got there it had a sign that said be back in 10 minutes at 3 o'clock when the check in time said. The front lady didn't even greet or apologized she had an attitude. All furniture is old and the hotel smells like humidity. Towels feels like sand paper bed is hard, bed sheets smell like they wash with only water.

It was spacious safe I love I was able to clean clothes to take home and peaceful and love that there was coffee in the evening

Definitely not what we expected

The rooms were clean.

Well, the elevators didn't work. The 2nd floor smelled like sewer water. And to top it off they only put 2 towels in our room and we got a queen double suite and no toilet paper only what was on the roll. This hotel used to be nice and updated. Now it went to poop. The staff is nice and sweet but the property is not so good.

The pool was very nice, the staff was rude, and I will never stay there again i will tell everyone I know to NOT STAY AT THE KEMAH EDGEWATER the desk clerk was the rudest unfriendly, person I have EVER COME ACROSS IN MY LIFETIME. If he treats everyone like he treated me OMG I do not know how they stay in business, and if he hates people why on earth would he ever run a hotel because he should NOT be dealing with the public AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be careful and watch your money at this hotel they will try to pull a fast one over on you!!!!! If you pay cash when you check in to your stay the night before they will still try to charge your card over and over again after you have Check out and even tho you have already paid in CASH, and they even gave the cash deposit back upon checkout!!! Watch yourself and your money, because my best friend and I just about got screwed over!!!

Kemah first time

Spacious room, very comfortable, clean. Easy driving distance to Kemah boardwalk. Breakfast had a decent selection.

Good for overnight stay before cruise

Clean and quiet, good location for getting quickly to our final destination (cruise port on Galveston)

They charged me $53 dollars per room (had two rooms) for damage deposit. Only refunded $50 of the deposit. I am pretty sure they call that stealing.

It seemed nice at first. Walked in was greeted by a nice young lady, who checked me in promptly.

The smell of the room was an odd odor. It’s infested with roaches. I had to leave abruptly just as falling asleep, I spotted the roaches near the TV. There’s just no way I could sleep in that. I had to leave around 10:30 pm and go find another hotel.

Close proximity to boardwalk is the ONLY good thing about this place.

The hotel looked okay upon first glance and arriving however during our stay my husband killed two roaches in our room. I’m not referring to the German cockroaches, I’m talking about the little ones that come with uncleanliness. It’s safe to say this hotel is not a clean one. I also wrote a review on google and a staff member replied that we were kicked out due to smoking to try and discredit my review but that is not true as we don’t even smoke. My husband also took pictures of the roaches. There as sooo many other hotels near the boardwalk...please avoid this one. Never again!!
