About this cottage rental

Bluebell cottage sits adjacent to the ever popular Primrose Cottage on a working farm in a quiet location. Situated between the villages of Towton and Barkston Ash. This single storey cottage, which is newly converted, has been carefully refurbished to create a wonderful holiday home. An ideal spot from which to explore the North Yorkshire area and beyond. With three bedrooms it comfortably sleeps 6 people, and has a well equipped kitchen (including a washing machine), WIFI, TV and parking.

Storage can be arranged for bicycles, golf clubs or fishing equipment.

Well behaved dogs are accepted - please note this is a working farm, and dogs must be kept on a lead at all times around the farm. There is a charge for dogs please add the pet fee to your booking.
Under no circumstances must pets be left unattended in the cottage.

Please note farmyard noises are to be expected.

This was a lovely stay in a nice peaceful location and very easy to find. I would suggest it would be a stretch for 6 people but for a couple or family with 2-3 kids it would be perfect especially if the kids needed separate rooms. Hosts were great with very good communication throughout. Definitely would return again. Hosts were love

Excellent communication from James from initial enquiry and all the way through our stay. Extremely helpful and even replaced an item and provided an additional dining chair on Christmas morning. Beautiful cottage, exceptionally clean and with absolutely everything we needed. Well located for both Leeds and York. Would definitely recommend.

The host James was very helpful and welcoming. The accommodation was as describe and very clean. We have stayed here previously and it was the host and the standard of accommodation that made us want to return. We have no hesitation on using this accommodation again in the future and would highly recommend this cottage.

We loved our 2 night stay here! Such a lovely cottage. Warm, cosy, friendly owners, so so clean, smelt lovely, comfy beds, and everything you could need was provided. Can't fault it at all. It was a perfect distance from York and the designer outlet too. Farm noise wasn't a problem at all! Brilliant place, would highly recommend.

We visited over the bonfire night weekend with family and our dog who is terrified of fireworks, with the hope of avoiding the worst of the noise from the fireworks with being fairly remote, which I’m pleased to say we did. The cottage was warm and immaculately presented when we arrived. The owners had left us some fresh milk and there was tea and coffee too. Throughout the booking process the owners had answered all our questions promptly, and once we were there they were lovely and helpful in person too. A very peaceful location, with plenty of interesting places to visit nearby. We would love to return and stay a little longer in the future. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Loved the wooden beams & stone window ledges. All rooms very clean & had nice crisp white bedding & towels. Had everything we needed home from home. Living room kitchen area nice & cosy, great for family meals around the table. Great location as away from the town but just a short 15-20 min drive to Xscape, Junction 32 shopping outlet, and York. RSPB Fairburn Ings 15 mins drive away, we enjoyed a woodland walk. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend this accommodation. Only slight negative was that the tub chairs weren't very comfortable for sitting in long periods, could do with more padding/cushioning.

It was a great property, clean and spacious with plenty of room for numerous people. On arrival was greeted with a great handbook with all the places to see and things to do in the local area, with numbers for taxis and local takeaways along with restaurant menus for the local pub, which was a great little touch. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and didn’t pry into the stay and just let you get on with your weekend, would definitely stay again!

First time exploring a bit of England and it was a great home base for us. York was just up the road and we did a day trip out to Whitby. It was also great for getting in to watch a womens Euro match. Lovely owners who made sure we felt welcome and gave us ideas of where to check out.
