Excellent stay and great for York and Selby

Excellent value for money, good instructions and communication, clean and everything provided. Suited exactly what we needed and 20 mins from the designer outlet, park and ride for York and 5 mins from Selby which has plenty of eateries / takeaways and some big supermarkets if you are staying longer. All mod cons, Microwave, kettle, bedding, fridge, freezer, full cooker, bath, shower,tv, xbox, cd player and decent wifi. Thanks Anita we would definitely stay again

Downstair Bed was on the hard side and Road is difficult to pull out onto, apart from that excellent

Lovely Cottage

Lovely clean and spacious cottage with huge enclosed garden which would be great for families. Well equipped and warm. Good parking area.

A hand rail on the wall coming down the stairs may be a good addition.

it was good value for money - property nicer than I had imagined and on the whole a pleasant stay .

clean and pleasant rooms, helpful hosts, property as described, large garden useful with 2 young children , plentiful parking.

heating was good but insufficient hot water - had to keep waiting for it to reheat or wash in cold water. Noisy plumbing and beeping sensor in larger upstairs bedroom kept occupants awake. not quite enough bedding for us all (6 adults and 2 children)but hosts quickly rectified this when contacted .

Superb

The house itself is fantastic with plenty of room. All of the rooms are pleasant and spacious. The property is as described and the photos are a true representation. Communication with the host was quick and easy, they very kindly put the heating on prior to our arrival too. Location was ideal for our needs, close to York, Leeds and Doncaster We would stay again definitely 🙂

Unpleasant smell in bathroom, perhaps from drains. Beds were OK but perhaps could benefit from new mattresses, especially downstairs. TV was not watchable due to connectivity issues/dodgy aerial. No oven trays. Price for one night stay is quite high compared to similar accommodation elsewhere. If not for the above would have been full marks all around.

Comfortable, convenient and good value

Thanks to the use of a key safe, with the combination given in advance, it was easy to come and go as we pleased. Five of us stayed in the house; two of which were in a spacious downstairs annexe which was great. The cottage was roomy overall, had ample room for parking and there was a shower separate from the bathroom. Because there were no bookings for our second day (we stayed just one night), we were invited to hang around the cottage all day on the second day, although we weren't in a position to do so. That was a really nice gesture; we weren't rushed out of the property.

There was nowhere to put any clothes at all, in either of the rooms. That didn't matter to us as we stayed just one night, but stay a few days and the lack of wardrobe or drawer space might be a problem. The kitchen table is also very small, so getting five people around it was awkward, but I'm being perhaps unfairly picky here... Driving over the pavement to get onto the drive caused my car to ground, as there's a hump in the pavement. In an SUV this wouldn't be a problem but my Audi A4 isn't especially low-slung yet it scraped the tarmac each time. Turn up in something sporty and I'm not sure you would be able to get on and off the drive - in which case I don't where you would be able to park as the house is located on a road that has a fairly steady flow of traffic.

Extremely clean with lovely large rooms throughout. The house has everything you need without you having to take the ‘kitchen sink’. Friendly and responsive hosts too. Very homely and would definitely book again.

Lovely cottage. We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay.

The cottage is lovely- spacious and comfortable, like a home from home. It was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we’d need if we wanted to cook, including cooker, utensils, pans and a toaster and microwave. The coffee, tea and sugar were thoughtful additions as were the toiletries and washing up liquid. The lounge is spacious and welcoming with a TV/DVD player and radio/CD player with a selection of DVDs and music CDs plus an XBox with games AND board games. The heating was easy to use and effective. The cottage has outdoor space with ample parking and a back garden with patio furniture that would be enjoyable on a summer visit.

There was nothing to find fault with at all. The kitchen and bathroom floor were cold as to be expected on a winter visit but the heating worked well to warm the rooms. Bring a pair of slippers if you visit in winter!

A nice spacious cottage. Ideal location if you like gliding.

Plenty of off road parking with room to turn round. Owners were contactable and let us arrive earlier then the normal time. Everything was clean and tidy. Good value for money. I would recommend and will wave every time i go by.

La maison n'est pas très facile à trouver malgré les instructions données par la propriétaire. La table pour manger est petite et ne suffit pas pour cinq. Le sol de la douche mériterait d'être rénovée.
