Hosts let us use the garden area which was lovely as the weather was gorgeous - very helpful would recommend

Self catering breakfast had a few choices for continental or eggs ,toast etc, and location was quite local and easy access to york city. The host Jackie was so lovely and helpful in everyway with anything we needed, nothing was to much trouble, really happy with the stay and would definitely stay again

Good location- in a lovely village and very well positioned for exploring York and surrounding areas.
The cottage is comfortable and characterful. We slept well as the area is so quiet.
Good communication with hosts beforehand and during the stay.
They responded (and acted) quickly when there was a issue with heating.
Some of the interior seems a little tired and in need of updating.
A few items in the kitchen were not checked/cleaned before our stay (air fryer was dirty and a vase of very dead flowers were left on the kitchen table).

Spacious cottage & nice village.
The cottage was tired in certain areas & it lacked sufficient crockery.
Towels were also small & well used.
It was a very hot weekend & no fans were supplied or windows opened.
Luckily I took my own fan.
The lounge was not as the image on the website.
The sofa was old & worn.
We thought the hot tub was in the price -our mistake, but we have stayed in the area for far less money with a hot tub included.An additional cost for its use did seem excessive.
