I honestly don’t think there’s a better place to stay in Huaraz. It’s in a great location, on a lovely quiet street but still really close to the centre. The room was clean, cosy and comfortable, and the shower had hot water with great pressure. The breakfasts were amazing and served on the top floor, where there’s a super cosy kitchen with a lovely terrace. But what really makes this place special is the owners. They gave us excellent advice on treks and things to do around Huaraz. We also rented all our equipment for the Santa Cruz Trek from them - Caroline checked everything carefully and showed us how to use it. Pol is an amazing source of information about all the hikes in the area. They were all always around and happy to help with anything at every stage of our trip. Even on the day we had a night bus, we were still welcome to use the kitchen and common areas and leave our luggage in the storage room, which was incredibly helpful. The place also has a great hostel vibe, with lovely common areas where you can meet other travellers without it feeling too busy or noisy. I absolutely loved staying here, and it’s going to be hard to beat this place for the rest of our trip in Peru.
