Quick checking. We were all upgraded rooms. Friendly staff. Convenient and safe. Close to everything. Tours of all offered at front desk. 3rd time staying here in 10 years. Highly recommended.

This is a very good hotel for its price. The staff are excellent, very helpful. The hotel is well situated so you can be in the middle of Huaraz in 2 minutes. I would stay here again.

Vacationed in Peru with my two kids and stayed at the Galaxia Hotel for 10+ days. The Galaxia is centrally located in Huaraz which is one of the gateways to the Cordillera Blanca and Negro mountains. Ninna (spelling?) was our host and spoke English which was good for us non-accommodating Americans that only speak one language. Ninna was awesome, she helped us throughout our stay, she set up taxis, gave us much needed common sense advice for being in Peru and Huaraz as a visitor. She helped us set up a 3 day hike into the mountains, she coordinated our every need for activities and information on how to handle our stay in Huaraz and was very humanly nice to us. It was great to have her as our interface in Huaraz. The Galaxia Hotel as I said is centrally located to restaurants and places to see in Huaraz, all were easy walks from the hotel. The room we had was typical fair with 3 beds and private bathroom, it was clean and well appointed for budget level hotel. I would not hesitate recommending the Galaxia to anyone, a very nice hotel with a great host willing to do anything needed to make your stay comfortable, safe and fun.
