Excellent value for money. A perfect location to explore Shrewsbury and the surrounding Shropshire countryside.

The owner was very quick to respond, especially since we only booked on the day. The place was spotlessly clean. Off street parking was a bonus and it was a pleasant 15 minute walk into Shrewsbury town centre.

Although the heating was put on for us, the snowy weather meant that it still felt a little chilly in the accommodation.

Pleasant home from home stay

Decent sized property, clean and tidy. Tea and coffee available. Reasonably accessible to town centre, bus stop a couple of yards away. Near to supermarket. Friendly host. Parking available. Washing machine and full cooker in the property which is great.

The only thing missing was a bathroom bin.

We found the accommodation to be clean and functional. If we had stayed longer then more creature comfort is needed.

The lighting throughout the annex is very bright due to the energy-saving fluorescent bulbs. Softer, warmer lighting options would make relaxing in the evenings and watching TV much more comfortable. A few useful kitchen items were missing, such as a knife sharpener, ice cube tray, cafetière, and sturdier utensils — the ones provided were quite long, too flexible when stirring hot pans, and a tendency to fall out if pans. I’m sure the host would have happily provided anything we needed if we’d asked, but it would be great to have these basics available from the start. The sofa was a bit uncomfortable, as it’s an older sofa bed and you can feel the harm frame edge under your legs when sitting for a while.

Very handy for visiting Shrewsbury for a weekend, but just could not relax here.

Warm welcome from the host. Very clean indeed. Well equipped, except strangely no egg cups. Bed is on the hard side but comfortable. Easy walk into town and a bus stop on the corner. Very quiet area. Parking at the door. Really enjoyed Shrewsbury, it's a great little town, just couldn't relax in the property.

For a couple of days this property is fine but we wouldn't want to stay any longer and to be honest we were glad to leave, which is a shame as all it needs are a few simple touches to make it a great place to visit a marvelous little town There is only one bedside lamp, it needs one either side. TV is restricted to freeview, which is strange theses days. The only lighting in the lounge area is from a single harsh ceiling pendant, a side lamp is needed, we used the light on the cooker hood to try to make it a little cosy in the evenings. The cushions on the sofa sink into the frame so your legs are actually resting on the frame. There is no coffee table, when watching TV we had to put our drinks etc on the floor. The large front window means we felt completely exposed to the houses opposite, a half net or something similar would have made such a difference. You can hear the family walking about, talking, showering etc at certain times of day. Some of theses points were raised in previous reviews but haven't been acted upon, which is a shame. A couple of lamps, a net curtain, and a small table are easy fixes and would have made it quite cosy but as it was, we just never felt relaxed. If you just want somewhere clean, we'll equipped, and convenient for Shrewsbury, then this place is fine, just not for us as it is.

We spent two nights there. The apartment was fantastic. It was very modern, just the way I like it. The kitchen was well-equipped, but unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to cook anything. The city center is about a 25-minute walk away. The neighborhood is very quiet, so we slept very well. Carol, the owner, was very nice and showed us everything. I highly recommend it.

The annexe

The location ,the area .It was very clean too and well equipped. The owner carol _anne introduced herself to us not long after we arrived.She seemed very nice and left us to our own devices .The bedding was clean and fresh and there were pillow protectors which I like .All mod cons clean towels even hand soap and shampoo was provided .

The sofa was very low and uncomfortable to sit on.The bed was very low and not that comfortable .There was a large dog next door that barcked loudly ...not for long but frightened me as didn't expect it ! Could hear the owners next-door walking around upstairs and sometimes could hear them talking .Also heard them having a shower /bath and flushing the loo .The annexe is joined on to the main house ,so although it is a separate door way and gate to enter it is all one house with a dividing wall .The kitchen windows are frosted and the bedroom ..which I didn't like and the main lounge window has no privacy just curtains .The people over the road could see us and we could see them ,a blind or a voile of some description would of been nice .Otherwise very pleasant.

Check-in and all communication were very straightforward. The accommodation with excellent parking is located in a residential area 30 minutes walk from the city centre. There is a regular bus service into town. The kitchen is well kitted out for self catering and the whole place is thoughtfully and comfortable furnished.

If I could improve one thing it would be to have reading lights on both sides of the bed.

I loved the accommodation. it felt homely and not like a hotel. it is EXTREMELY GOOD VALUE as it has a full kitchen, dining table and seating area as well as a bedroom and bath. the owner bent over backwards to ensure my check in was flawless, she phoned me when I got delayed to ensure I was able to get in,
