About this cabin rental
Mountain Cabin is a self-catering wooden chalet located on a private farm, situated in the Tulbagh Wine Valley and at the foot of the Witzenberg Mountains. The cabin is beautifully furnished and offers accommodation for 4 people and is the ideal hideaway for a tranquil break from city life.
This wooden chalet consists of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathroom2. The main bedroom is a loft area and is furnished with a queen-size bed. and en-suite shower and toilet. The second bedroom is on the ground floor and is equipped with 2 single beds. The open-plan lounge and kitchen contains a fridge, a microwave, and an oven with a stove.
The lounge area offers a wood burning fire place and leads out onto a stunning wraparound terrace that offers uninterrupted views over the Mountains and valley below where you can see Springbok and Zebra's graze.
BBQ facilites are also on the premises for those late afternoons and evening BBQ's There is also a small river running past the cabin giving that sense of peace and tranquility. An outdoor communal swimming is also located on the farm should the kids like to go for a swim.
The farm is also host to occasional Springbok, Zebra and Rooihartbees which you can see from your terrace.
Mountain Cabin is located 1.3hr drive from Cape Town, various nature reserves; 15 minutes drive from Tulbagh, Wolseley, and Ceres, and an array of outdoor activities.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable few days in this beautiful area, with game wandering below us and the stunning view of the Witzenberg Mountains in front of us. The cabin is easily accessed and feels very safe and comfortable. There is air conditioning to help you cope with very hot days and an inverter to give you TV when there is no electricity!
We loved all the interesting ‘clutter’ but would have liked some personal storage in the upstairs bedroom.
The whole cabin is beautifully set up other than the lack of storage.
There is a pool and walks and sitting on the deck watching the animals is the best.
