Room was excellent. Evening meal was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Don't go if you're on a diet - portions were huge/
Hotel is dog friendly, but not happy to see a large dog up on one of the sofas, with it's feet on the table. As my wife said, what would have happened if she sat on the sofa in a white outfit after the dog.

The bedroom was spacious and well kept, and comfortable. The shower was good. Breakfast was fairly well done and dinner was enjoyable, with plenty of choice.
The public areas, including the upstairs landings outside the bedrooms, all stank of cigarette smoke. Presumably smokers have been allowed to stand in the downstairs entrance area.
