About 1 km away from ‘2 Torri’ and ‘Piazza Maggiore’, passing by the most famous pedestrian street of the historic center of bologna. About 200 meters away from Train Station.

Very close to the city center and to train station for day trip (Bologna-Rome: 2h 20min only!)

Next to the apartment is ‘Via Indipendenza’ under the famous arcades of Bologna, where you can shop, sightsee the local market during weekends, taste local cuisine; The apartment has two ‘Gateway’: either you can go to train station on one side or ‘Piazza Maggiore’, ‘2 towers’ (from the top, when weather is good, is possible to see the sea and the Alps) and the ‘Basilica di S. Petronio’ (the fifth largest church in the world and the last big Gothic church realized in Italy) on the other one.

THE GATEWAY is very convenient to visit the old city on foot, lunching at home while relaxing and preparing your meal with products of the Bolognese gastronomy purchased from the most characteristic stores of the city:

as the famous ‘Mercato di Mezzo’, a market town of medieval origins.

Supermarkets, Restaurants and Pizzerias, local markets and attractions are really close to home.

Antonio’s apartment near Bologna Centrale had everything we needed for a great Italian trip. It was less than 10 minute walk to the main train station giving us easy access to Florence, Milan the beaches and smaller towns like Ferrara. It was less than a 20 minute walk to the historical center of Bologna. There were good restaurants just steps away and 2 grocery stores less than a 10 minute walk as well. Antonio communicated promptly, gave good recommendations on restaurants and day trips and even helped us line up a fabulous cooking class. The apartment was as advertised in the listing with the necessary appliances and cookware that allowed us to cook some of our meals at home. Thank you Antonio for being a great host.

Apartment was clean and comfy. The washer and dryer were a huge plus. We had three people stay here and had plenty of room. It is a 15-20 min walk to the center of Bologna but 5-10 mins from the main train and bus stations. Very convenient!

This is an amazing apartment and is only a 5min walk to the train station. It was spotlessly clean and the hosts met us and showed us around. Good sized rooms, a great kitchen, big TV, two good bathrooms and comfy beds. It's a 20-min walk into the centre of the city but it's easily accessible.

Apartment was located in a perfect spot for easy access to train station, since we used it a lot to get to some small towns around Bologna, as well as, travel to Florence and Venice.The area seemed pretty safe, so was never concerned.The apartment was really nice. We had plenty of room for our 2 boys plus ourselves. Having 2 bathrooms was great. I would recommend this place to anyone. Definitely would stay again.

We chose this location and place based on the 5 start reviews and they were right. The apartment is beautiful and clean. Antonio's parents greet you at the arrival and explain how the place works. Antonio is responsive to text messages. The location is 5 minutes from the train station and convenient to do days trips. You can find everything nearby including restaurants, grocery store, historical buildings. Would stay there again.

Anthony’s’ lovely parents greeted us upon our arrival. The apartment was just as listed, close to the train station where we traveled to Parma and Modern on separate trips. Restaurants, cafes, walks under the porticos, the flavors of local street foods and evening music in the nearby square were delightful. This apartment had all the amenities to make our stay great!

Antonio was very responsive and friendly. His parents actually checked us in, but we subsequently met Antonio a few times. We had issues with the elevator and wifi being out for an extended period -- none of which had to do with the apartment. But, he found out when the elevator would be fixed. He contacted the wifi people several times and then went above and beyond by obtaining a different wifi portal for us to use. The cooking facilities were very good. We loved the washer and separate dryer. We were there during the hottest weeks on record. The A/C was sufficient. But, the temp was between 98 and 103 every day we were there. I'm sure the A/C would have no problem in less severe temps. It's about a 20 minute walk to Piazza Maggiori, which was a bit far in 100 temp, but normally not a problem and a nice walk. The apartment is close to grocery stores and wine emporiums. Of importance is the apartment is close to several very good restaurants. In addition, it is a 5 minute walk to the train station. We really enjoyed our time there and highly recommend it. Thanks Antonio.

It was conveniently located, only a 10 min walk from the train station. There were plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, banks, etc. nearby and a great place to stay when staying in Bologna! There were 2 bedrooms & bathrooms with a door that we used to "close-off" the second part of the house to allow the air conditioners to operate more efficiently. The kitchen was nicely appointed with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot with coffee and filters, (which was greatly appreciated)! We met the owner, who showed-us the property, though didn't speak English -- we were able to figure-out what he was trying to convey. This is the most secure property that I've stayed at any VRBO! The entry into the building is via 1 lock & key, the security door in front of the house is via another lock & key and the door to the property is via another lock & key. The Internet was sufficient, Speedtest.net reported 8MB download speeds so it was fine for web browsing and email, but then again you're on vacation so get off your device and explore!

First off it's about a 5 minute walk from the train station which was amazing after traveling all day. The apartment itself was beautiful, clean lots of space. I was able to cook a meal with fresh products from. the market a short walk away. There are 2 restaurants and Cafes on the same block which are amazing. the apartment is very quiet at night even with windows open. Shopping district is walking distance and Bologna itself is so close for day trips to Milan, Parma and Florence. Lovely stay, Antonio communicated what was necessary but didn't bother me at all. I even met his lovely parents as I was checking out. I would deffanitly stay here again if I returned to Bologna

We stayed two weeks in this apartment. It is convenient both to the historic district of Bologna and the train station. We took five day trips and were easily able to catch early morning trains with just a brief walk. The apartment is modern and everything—washer, dryer, dish washer—works! Antonio is a great host and answers any communication very quickly. We highly recommend this apartment!

This is a great flat with a lot of amenities. Antonio and his parents are great hosts. The flat is near supermarkets and also quite close to the city center and the central station. The 2 bedrooms has it's own bathroom, wich is great. The little balcony is a lovely place to eat breakfast at. This place is highly recommended!

This apartment was modern, very clean, safe and in a great location. Everything in the flat was spotless and well thought out for a short stay. An easy 20 minute walk to the centre of Bologna. Near reasonably priced restaurants and a well stocked Coop. Check in is flexible and Antonia's parents showed us around the apartment, taking great care to make sure we knew how to work the appliances. Delightful couple. We were very grateful for the air con as it was so hot. If I am ever in Bologna in the future I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and would recommend to others.

Very nice sixth floor apartment close to the train station. Very safe and secure building, just a little difficult to find the entrance on the first day. Antonio was great with communication from the minute I made our reservation. He met us at the apartment within 5 minutes of our arriving. He explained everything about the apt. and gave us some recommendations for near by restaurants. We were about a mile from the Piazzo Maggiore which was perfect for walk to that area and back. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Antonio's apartment in Bologna. It is clean and well-furnished--very comfortable. Walking distance to downtown as well as just a couple of blocks from the train station. Nice neighborhood also with many excellent restaurants nearby. Antonio was available by phone as we wanted to verify we were at the right location, and his parents let us in, explaining all the details about the apartment. Highly recommended.

Antonio and his wife met us at their well-equipped apartment, showed us where everything was and how it all worked. They are very accommodating hosts who left coffee, tea, snacks and breakfast food for our five day stay in Bologna. The location near the train station meant no car was needed and we toured the surrounding area as well as a day trip to Venice by train. Would highly recommend!

We enjoyed this place very much. The location is perfect, after you find the direct way to train station its just a 5 minute walk. Everything was very clean, if we had a question Antonio was helpful. The mattresses and bedsheets could be more comfortable. But that’s probably an individual preference. We felt safe at all times and would definitely use this condo again.
