It wasn't up the standard we usually experience at this price.

The beds were comfortable and milk and coffee pods were provided.

The house could have been aired before our arrival, it had a stale smell on arrival which while not horrible wasn't very welcoming. The house would benefit from a thorough clean - it looked a bit worn with cobwebs and a few dead woodlice on the stair carpet and there was a layer of dust on the coffee machine.

A really nice quirky house, well equipt.

It was well equipped. Clean and had plenty of space. It was also in a great location for what we needed. Beds were very comfortable.

It is on the junction and one night work men came late to do something but apart from that the location didn’t bother us

Lovely spacious, yet cosy, cottage in a really handy location

Great little cottage, clean, spacious and well equipped. Hosts kindly left lights and heating on for our late arrival, plus wood for the woodburner to make us feel at home. Beds were comfy, with really cosy bedding. Large co-op two minutes walk away for grabbing essentials and easy access to the A483 for getting around.

Getting in and out of the parking space was a bit hair-raising. I wouldn't have wanted to do it in anything larger than our average-sized family car. We'd have appreciated a king size bed in place of one of the doubles. It's hard for two adults to get a good night's sleep in a standard double, especially when one of them snores!

Its was pleasant and peaceful. A clean, safe and comfortable place to rest our heads at night.

Most mornings we were there we went out to local areas to eat breakfast. when we didnt there were local shops nearby to acquire any cereal and milk that was used for brerakfast.

Not enough dining chairs when hosting a few friends from the area. the extractor fan for the hob wasnt working. and there was a broken handle on the downstairs shower. These were extremely small things that didnt effect our stay or our enjoyment when staying at Merlin's house.

Beautifully finished and decorated house. Real wood floors and staircase. Loads of authentic character to the place including log burner in the living room. Comfy and cosy. Nice big bath. Well appointed kitchen. Just generally a lovely place to stay.

Had everything we needed. Loved the fire. Really large living room if you wanted to gather with family or friends. Lovely bathroom. Would get 3 cars in drive. Handy menus. Games available. Really clean. Great communication from hosts, very happy, thanks so much

A perfect cozy weekend away with a great host

The property has everything you need to have an incredibly comfortable stay. Kitchen is well stocked to prepare any meal and you have all the appliances you could need. Loads of space in every room. Theres a lovely little log fire in the living room which is perfect for cold winter evenings. Everywhere was clean and bed were very comfy. Jill was the perfect host with very clear instructions on how to get there, how to park etc and gave the perfect recommendation of where to eat for New Years Day - it was great! Can’t wait to stay again and would recommend Merlin House to everyone!

Nice getaway house for family trip

Spacious, clean, easy access, private parking. It was ideal for traveling with three generations.

Just a bit noisy at night cause property sits right next to a traffic junction, nearby building was getting demolished, hope it's getting done soon for our next visit.

Good stay in a good location with really helpful hosts.

Good location, great size property and good size kitchen lounge etc. Hosts were really helpful with great communication and on hand for any questions we had. Also had off street parking for 3 or 4 cars.

Beds and pillows could have been comfier.
