Holland House

The location is close to the beach, which is why we booked this property. The balcony would be lovely when the sun is shining. The bed (mattress was comfortable) Having a fridge, microwave, and kettle was a great addition to the room. Having free netflix was appreciated, and the Internet was decent.

We paid £30 for bringing the dog and feel that this was expensive as there was nothing there for him. There was no water bowl and no soft space for him to sleep. We have paid lower dog fees before and had bowls, blankets, and treats. Please note that the back garden isn't secure if you are booking the garden room and taking your dog. The room is a lot smaller than it looks in the photos. The shower is lovely and hot, but be mindful if you are on the bigger side.

The owner was very responsive and accommodating. The room was very nicely furnished with everything we needed. The fresh bread and cereals was a nice touch and the bathroom was beautiful with all toiletries provided.

Good comms on how to get into our room. Easy parking on the street outside. Our balcony room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Balcony was furnished and very spacious and it was lovely to have the fresh air coming through the French doors. Good range of kitchen facilities - kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave - and cooking implements, too. There are some lovely eateries/bars just a short walk away, and at the end of the road is the esplanade/walkway along the riverfront to the centre of New Brighton. Really good value for money.

The bathroom space is tight but it was fine for a couple of days (partner is tall and long-legged so he felt it more than I did!). We could only hang up short items bc there was a chest of drawers under the hanging rail. There was an iron but no ironing board. When we arrived, we asked for fresh instant coffee as the supply in the room was very clumpy; had to send a nudge the next morning, but then we got the coffee really quickly, with full apologies and a very friendly response. As it's an old (but beautiful) building, there was quite a bit of morning noise from next door/upstairs, but wearing earplugs at nighttime were the easy answer for light sleepers like me.

The House is well presented outside and has nice gardens. There is outside seating, each unit has it's own personality. Good lighting at night We were in the ground floor studio with Kitchen facilities. We had fresh bread, tea and coffee and milk provided which was so nice to come into after a long journey.

We felt it was just tired, needed a bit of a lick of paint. The cleanliness was not quite at the standard of other places we have stayed (we stay in about 15 cottages and Air BNB's a year) The bedding and duvet pillows felt old and a bit dirty, The bed wasn't that comfy. The bathroom wasn't 100% clean either, but just because of age related wear more than not being cleaned.
