Old-fashioned charm with lovely breakfast in the cafe downstairs

The breakfast at the cafe on the ground floor was excellent, especially the coffee (...but that's their specialty). We had booked both rooms, 1st and 2nd floors. The top room was very spacious, under the roof. Lighting was not great for reading, but not a problem. The first night it was very noisy at the pub next door, but the shouting and singing did stop at 22h00 sharp. The windows being original and not double-glazed, there were moments when we could hear loud passers-by all through the night. And of course the church bells every hour...earplugs recommended! But on the whole it was a delightful stay in the heart of this so historic small city. We rented e-bikes at the Cyclehub, that has a vast selection of bikes, friendly service and fair prices. It was an easy ride to Veere, a charming small town on the water of Veersemeer, and then northwards to the North Sea coast. We made a circuit of the trip, but there are many options...

Exceptional

We loved our stay here - the owners were very friendly and welcoming. The B & B is centrally located with a wonderful cafe downstairs where we were served a generous and delicious breakfast (with great coffee!!). We were given lots of great information about what to see and do during our stay in Zeeland. And we loved our room - the top floor with fantastic views. The vibe of the area is contagious and this gezelig little place is the best place to enjoy it. I highly recommend! We'll be back :)

De warme en hartelijke ontvangst bij aankomst en tijdens het hele verblijf. Midden in de stad, ruime gezellige kamer waar niets ontbrak. Super fijn ontbijt smorgens.

Fantastisch op alle aspecten!

Heel fijne locatie, ontbijt was echt fantastisch en heel vriendelijk personeel!

We zaten op de eerste verdieping en van zodra de koffiebar openging was er wel wat lawaai op de gang. Toilet en voorraadkast zat naast de kamer.

Heerlijk in hartje centrum in een kleinschalige B&B

De ligging in hartje Middelburg is natuurlijk heerlijk. De kamer is ruim, de bedden zijn fijn en de douche is perfect. Daarnaast is het personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze verzorgen ook nog eens overheerlijke ontbijtjes.

Voor een weekendje is het geen enkel probleem, mocht je langer willen gaan, dan is er weinig opbergruimte voor kleding.

Middelburg nie mehr über den Jahreswechsel

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Das Frühstück war zwar wenig Abwechslungsreich, aber immer sehr ausreichend.

Wir hatten fünf Tage gebucht. Über die gesamte Zeit gab es keinen Zimmerservice, nach frischen Handtüchern und neuem Toilettenpapier musste man jeden Tag fragen. Teilweise haben wir uns in einem Lagerraum dann selbst bedient, damit wir mit dem Nötigen ausgestattet waren. Auch die Betten wurden in den fünf Tagen natürlich nicht gemacht. Wir waren vom 30.12. bis 04.01. in Middelburg. In der Stadt schlossen die Lokale an Sylvester alle gegen 21 Uhr. Wir haben dann Karten gespielt und schlechten Wein aus der Minibar eines befreundeten Paares getrunken, die in einer anderen Unterkunft logierten. Hier kann Koffie&kussen natürlich nichts dafür. Middelburg im Winter oder gar zu Sylvester machen wir nie mehr!

Herrlicher Kurzurlaub mit allem Komfort.

Frühstück, besonders der Kaffee, war soo gut. Einrichtung (tolle Dusche, schöne lange Bettdecke), Personal, Lage, einfach alles.

Durch die zentrale Lage kam es zu einer hohen Geräuschbelastung nachts.

Geschmackvoll ausgestattet, mit allem, was man braucht. Sehr zentrale Lage. Das Frühstück im Café darunter war hervorragend, der Kaffee exzellent, das Personal zuvorkommend und herzlich. Einfach schön!

Gezellig en gastvrij

Na de gastvrije ontvangst kregen we goeie tips over het bezoek aan de stad en adressen van leuke eetgelegenheden. Het ontbijt werd geserveerd in het koffiehuis Espresszo op het gelijkvloers. Dit was zeer lekker én gezond. Onze kamer was hier net boven maar er was helemaal geen lawaaihinder. De centrale ligging is groot pluspunt.

Gemütlicher Aufenthalt bei sehr netten Menschen

Unser Zimmer war sehr gemütlich unterm Dach (könnte im Sommer ziemlich heiß werden, wie hatten Glück). Als wir auf den Fotos, überaus gemütlich und komfortabel eingerichtet. Alle vom Ezpresszo-Team waren super nett und hilfsbereit. Wir durften sogar unsere Fahrrädern über Nacht im Café unterstellen. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker!

Bitte beachten, dass die Treppen sehr steil und eng sind!

Super gezellig hotel. Mooie kamer, leuk uitzicht op de terrassen , fijn bed , perfect ontbijt en supervriendelijk personeel. Mooie locatie

Je zit middenin het centrum van Middelburg, dus neem wel je oordoppen mee, want soms is het wat luidruchtig buiten in de nacht (weliswaar waren wij er tijdens het Mosselfeest, dus misschien ook drukker dan normaal)

Prima B&B. Wij komen zeker terug.

Leuke B&B, met zeer aardige dames in de bediening. De locatie is top. In het centrum met gezellige terrassen en restaurants voor de deur. Nadeel is dan wel dat het 's avonds en 's nachts rumoerig is. Maar dat hoort erbij. Wij zouden de volgende keer weer naar deze B&B gaan.

Als de terrassen sluiten, dan blijft het nog lang lawaaiig door mensen die teveel hebben gedronken. Ik kan mij voorstellen dat op warme zomerse dagen de kamers vrij warm worden. Er staat wel een ventilator. Niet geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn.
