Amazing experience at Cityhotel WOOD

Absolutely amazing experience at this modern and very stylish hotel. A warm welcome at the reception, a clean, spacious, modern room with a nice seating area, comfortable box-spring bed and enough closet space. Breakfast was exceptional. Staff was great and very friendly. Safe area and short walking distance to the old town. 10/10 would recommend. We will be back.

Overall an excellent experience

Really delicious assortment of healthy breakfast. I loved the green smoothie. The hotel also offered fresh ginger shots to us to boost the energy level.

It'd be nicer to have more accessories in the room such as slippers, ear swap...

It was the best hotel during our trip to Holland!

Everything was perfect and very eco conscious. We loved a diner we had in the hotel restaurant where you can eat elaborated healthy course diner. It was very good. We really had a relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

Our first romm smelled like sweating soks, in fact someone forgot his soks. The room couldn’t help! Without any problem the staff changed our room.

The staff & the dinners were exceptional

The hotel is still fairly new, about 3 years old & looks very attractive. My room was a good size & had plenty of storage space. It's located a short walk from the town centre & has lovely views of the canal from the lounge & dining area & from rooms at the front of the building. The staff were friendly, professional & helpful, especially the ladies at the reception desk. You can have dinner at the hotel from Wednesday to Sunday & I highly recommend it. The menu is small (& changes every 6 weeks), but the food is exceptional. My meal was beautifully presented, well cooked & had an array of tastes & textures. It wasn't cheap - for 2 courses for 2 people, with soft drinks it cost €90, but, as a treat it was worth it. The breakfast also looked very fresh & tasty, although I didn't try it because I don't have breakfast. I would have to say that the dinners were the best part of my stay.

Although my room looked really lovely, I found it too warm & I had to either sleep with the window open or the air conditioning on. Unfortunately, I could not sleep well because the mattress & pillows were not comfortable. The mattress was thin & resembled a mattress topper & the pillows felt hard & lacked springiness. I actually came back from my holiday feeling tired from the lack of decent sleep. I really wanted to give a better rating, but a comfortable bed is so important & is one of the main things you pay for & I don't feel that I got that.

You can feel from every detail in this hotel that it was build with love care and attention. The breakfast is outstanding! Best hotel breakfast ever!

Nice spacious rooms with quality facilities and everything is very new.

Despite advertising a private parking, we were not allowed to park our motorbike inside and we had to leave it in the street. Could improve the breakfast by offering more options for food intolerance/allergies.
