Mould everywhere. Bed sheets stained. Needs a big upgrade very outdated

You get what you paid for.

They served us English breakfast and it was nice. The location was 20 minutes away from the high street/bay area.

We booked the cheaper room but didn't expect that our room doesn't have a heater, the television remote was not working so we're stuck with one channel, hot water in the toilet was not working and we feel unsafe as there is no door lock when you're inside the room.

It may be old fashioned and somewhat cateworn here and there but it's clean and warm and amazing value for money I have already made future bookings fir March and April.

Outdated, no hot water for shower or washing, they keep the hot water turned off so I could not have a shower, I had to sleep with my clothes on as it was that cold, I checked out after 1 night and had to pay again elsewhere so I could get washed, disgusting place, I would not advise anyone to stay in this cheap place

Do not stay

Room very out dated bathroom grotty. Checked in 2pm room cold no heating on. Only 2 plug sockets by kettle non near the bed had to ask for extension lead to plug my cpap machine in. They bought one but then had to plug in by kettle and the lead was a trip hazard as was across the floor and had to step over it to get to the bathroom. The bathroom was very dated and dirty

At the price it was pretty good for what we wanted, only stayed one night.

The location was good for what we wanted to do, visit a relative. The breakfast we had was good, we only stayed for one night so limited information. We were towing a trailer which we were allowed to leave there while we visited our relative, but bear in mind it is winter, January so not too busy.

My partner said the bed was a little hard but I slept ok. We were on the ground floor at the front, you could hear the traffic but it was fairly quiet after midnight. The place could do with a lick of paint here and there.

Amazing value for money

Despite being far from modern and a little careworn this hotel is clean and comfortable and has really friendly staff. I have stayed in many hotels but this place is an easy winner when it comes to outstanding value for money. This was my 2nd stay and I have already made a further 2 bookings.

A warm welcome, peaceful/clean/comfortable stay in a vintage experience hotel.

Loved: Friendly Warm Welcome on arrival Loved: Clean & Extremely Comfortable .. including the clean, comfortable bed and linen. Entire place was clean and comfortable. Had a very peaceful, comfortable stay. Loved: Great value for money especially as breakfast is included. A vintage experience but we loved the retro vibe… others may prefer a more modern , contemporary style. Hot water in the en-suite bathroom. Perhaps a larger bath with shower over the bath would suit a traveller with a more contemporary /modern preference. But we were content with the retro vibe… a comfortable, peaceful stay overall. We will be back soon. Thank you 💐

Unbelievable value for money

Clean, friendly staff, comfy beds, decent breakfast, excellent value for money. I have booked again as it is fantastic value for money for what you get.

Approach with caution

The beds were clean, the breakfast was OK and it is cheap as chips

The room was grim. The carpet was stained and had holes in it. There were cracks in the walls. The room was really cold when we arrived but warmed up when we turned the radiator on. The mattress had definitely seen better days, but luckily we had 3 beds in the room so we could lie on one of the duvets and use the others to cover up.

Absolutely abismal , best thing was the front leading to the road

Absolutely filthy, no smoke alarm, freezing cold, dead wasps on the floor, brick dust in the sink and on the skirting board, kettle covered in dust. Behind the radiators dead insects covered in dust, could not bare to stay, let alone eat there. Could do with a visit by pest control. Photos have been submitted to Torbay council.

Very reasonably priced hotel, which is very close to the center of Torquay.

The owner was very helpful. On my first night I got disturbed by other guests coming back late at night. When I explained this to the owner in the morning he immediatley gave me the keys to another room on another floor and because of this I slept very well on my second night.

Good location for Torquay, fair hotel

Location is good to centre, breakfast was nice and good options, quick services. Staff were friendly. Rooms were good, clean towels everyday ,and cleaned ,and comfortable beds . But decor was old fashioned, lovely Chinese restaurant opposite,great food service.

Thin walls , creaking ceilings, also had bad experience of drunken girl hitting doors at 4am in morning, shouting and then kicking our door in at 5am breaking the lock 😡.for no reason. Night porter was very good in sorting the situation out ,and refunded us the night ,and apologised. but it was scary,me and my husband had 2 hrs sleep that night . Also with fire alarms going off ??but just felt uncomfortable rest of the night as the door was not secured until we left , as of lock being broken.

Could do with a refresh. Be prepared for a bit of a wait to be served at breakfast time, if not part of the coach trip crowd but all the staff work really hard.
