A great hotel in a great location.

We had requested a ground floor room, but this was quite cold, so we were moved to the first floor. The room there was nice and bright, with a view of the street. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent, with a choice of fresh drinks, bread, meat, etc.

A small fridge would have been handy in the room to keep drinks cool.

Lovely stay at the Hotel Moderna, Cherbourg. The family who run the hotel were extremely friendly

I only had one breakfast which was very nice French fayre. The view from the room was a very atmospheric street view, typical of France.

No complaints at all, the Hotel is very good.

Lovely little stay in Cherbourg, would recommend

The location was excellent! Perfect for walking to restaurants, La Cité de La Mer and a walk around the town. Staff very friendly and gave lovely recommendations. Everything made clear on check in

Parking was tricky but free on Sundays so once we got a spot it was all good

Nice hotel for a business trip

Two elder ladies in the reception are so kind and helpful. They are always very happy to answer questions and provided helps such as taxi and restaurant…etc. I am very appreciated. In addition, my room was cleaned much better than I expected every day. Thank you cleaning lady!

Sometimes you can still hear people’s voice who lived in the next room at night.

Gorgeous hotel in a fab location

Fabulous hotel in a great location. Lovely rooms, the owner has great taste! The hotel has a sweet little courtyard in the middle. Exceptionally clean. Good breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been a nice addition. I'd taken a travel kettle so not a problem for us, but worth noting so you can pack accordingly!

Clearly this is a business man's hotel. Basic.no frills, not even a kettle in the room. We were top floor, three flights no lift. Outlook over roofs. Not encouraging.

Great for a one night stay en-route to Brittany from the ferry from Poole in England.

Great location close to the ferry terminal, free parking and local restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff - they upgraded is FOC to a better room as our room wasn't ready when we arrived. Excellent breakfast and great value for money.
